    I can see a lot of lake to the right in the shot of the unplanned landing on that hard knoll. How come the turning take off that didn't turn enough to make use of all that water ? I can't understand this one. Glad no one was hurt too bad.

    Seems strange that the pilot put themselves in that type of situation. Unfortunately the nose is blocking the view of the tail I'd be curious to see if the pilot was holding full right rudder to steer away from the knoll. The video description says the wind gusted up maybe a direct cross wind was overpowering all rudder authority?

    The landing later in this video shows the same Beaver using the waterway to land on.
