    What else can he say?

I don't think he wants to come out and say he has come up with a fantastic new arrangement for the deck chairs...

Ian, the entire interview is posted here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=247545

And this is Adam Parr's total paragraph which defines why he made the statement you quoted out of context:

"I'm impressed that Ross, as an independent team next year, let's say, that actually has to raise money in the way that we do, feels that he has the ability to do that in another championship but we simply could not. There's no way that we could walk away from our contracts and raise the sort of money that we would need to compete with the manufacturers, the Red Bulls and so forth. So we have a mutual dependence with the FIA and with FOM that is enshrined in contracts that we will honour. But it's very, very sad for us that in so doing we've drifted away from people that we like and we respect and we like racing against. The question is: is it a disgrace that we are sitting here in this situation? I don't know what we could have done differently than what we've done. We've tried to be at all times open, transparent, honest about our positions."

Why is it that they alone were "enshrined in contracts" .
Because they grabbed the bag of cash that BernieMax offered to start the FOTA break up.
    I used to back Williams.
That was my team even this year over the rest. Has been for awhile.
    Nico is "my" driver.
Would I have done what they did if in their position ? Hard to say but I doubt it.
    Time to start shopping teams.

Yep, read it - Some pretty interesting stuff.

Hardly "out of context" - Abbreviated to the bone maybe, but I didn't try and change his meaning.....

    Sir Frank will be back!

    Cheers,
    Ian

As is apparent in Brawn's actions they do not need sponsorship money.
    This year.
Mother Honda is supposed to be giving the life support.
    Virgin is the beer money.
Next year amazingly enough they may bag the big sponsor based on this years results.
    You cant write this stuff.

As I said in the OP - Ross is the man! :D

    - He (apparently) had sponsors courting him in Monaco!
    - His cars remain "virgin white" [Sorry!]
    - He leads what maybe the last F1 championship

    How cool must that be?

Williams of all teams know the importance of a good engine supply.
When Mercedes say jump please, Ross drawls "sure, sounds like a good idea"
Williams understands all right. Just don't want to admit it.

Cosworth, must be good. All the F1 teams will be using it. lolz

I won't be surprised if Sir Frank and Doc. Mallya's cars pick up an inordinate amount of speed the latter half of the season ;). Those FIA post race inspections might become two tier.

    Not necessary.
With the FIA controlled Engine Management black boxes.
    Its a miracle.

He leads the CURRENT F1 championship. The name may change but thats it.
Team Brawny missed the $ window of opportunity.
They had the chance to tie up sponsors prior to this weekend.
Who is going to shell out the big bucks in this current unstable climate ?
They should at least pick out a deserving charity to fill the voids on the car.
    Good will. Good Karma.
