    Hi Guys:

Quick question. When I apply the gas pedal I get a squeeky spring sound. Basically it sounds to me like the springs need to be oiled in the area? Is this as simple as that or any other thoughts are appreciated.

Still raining in Jersey ... ;-(

    Thanks very much!

Sounds like it is just a case of lubricating the pivot points. The 308 accelerator pedal is a really simple setup. Just remove the drivers side floor mat and then the plastic surround around the pedal. It will reveal most of the mechanism that you can shoot with a spray bottle of oil. Often times this area becomes dried out from wool particles that become airborne from normal rubbing of the floor mats. When you remove the plastic surround you may find a wooly mess. Clean the area out nice, oil it and you should be fine. Good luck with the project.

P.S. in worst case scenario or if you have a hoist, there is an access panel to the accelerator pedal from the bottom of the car. This will grant the fullest access for service but you can probably achieve what you need from the top.

Thanks Rob. I did this tonight. Me, my 308 and a Becks - not the worst combination. ;-) Thanks for the tip and as always it feels great to do something yourself, no matter how small.

    Hi Guys:

I noticed that my 308 always breathes warm air into the cabin no matter where my controllers are set on. (My vents are open). Of course I can close the ventsoff for a quick fix, but was wondering if this is a part of the design?

I can indeed turn the Fan on for proper "real" air blow, but I'm talking while I have not switched anything on. It is not massive flow mind you, but noticeable. Espacially in the warm days ;-). I got a heather in the front and back now, ha.

    Thoughts?

Mike i would go the way Nuvolari suggested jack drive side drop the cover and diso the cable (spring loded clip) you may need to hold back the gas lever at the throttle body give you bit more room undo 2 bolts and she's ready to drop out then you can stripe the pedal mech right down clean out the roller bearings ....the pedal is on a splined shaft if you are going this route mark the pedal face and the spine so when you refit the pedal it go's back on the same spline and the pedal wont be outa wack good luck
