nice pics design is spectaculair very nice car forza ferrari!!!!!!
The rear deck looks fantastic. I'm really curious how they'll make a spider version of this. You can see an air intake by the side rear glass similar to the 599 that seems impossible with a soft top to duplicate. Unless... its part of the toneau cover? I think we are in for something really special.
I'm liking what I'm seeing of the profile shot... Getting exciting! New F450 spy shots, FXX TOp Gear lap and the Stig revealed? The internet has never been this exciting! _J
sorry if this is a repost. Listen to the sound of this engine!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mhXF7V-_GQ&feature=rec-fresh+div -G.B.
Oh yeah, it's a mega-repost but everytime I watch the video I love how fast the shifts are. It's amazing! _J
Wow! There really is something strikingly Dino-like about that profile...especially the windshield/cockpit area. And that's great in my book!!!
Thank you so much for posting this link, this seems to be in line with the pictures that were posted with the Ferrari guys trying to cover the car without the Front and Rear Bumpers.
Must be a coincidence, right? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Although a very good photoshop, the front and rear bumpers is the big question. Image Unavailable, Please Login
looking like a 360 more and more. Funny, Porsche had the 993 and then came out with the 996 and now the 997 looks like the next generation of the 993.
Sorry if this is a repost, but WOW what a car!! http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/240841/
Here we go I'd laugh if Ferrari was playing a joke on us and the car we've been seeing is just a distraction from the real thing Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
the autocar sketch looks decent. I have heard from someone who has seen the car that it looks "quite like the F430" which makes me think the autocar sketch is a bit too "aggressive" I should point out that it does appear that in the original "R8 pic" (which i believe is very close to the real thing) the roofline is too curved and that the actual car has a slightly lower roofline. People were right that the roofline is taken from the R8 but i believe that (and maybe the wheels) was the only thing taken from the R8. Nothing else matches and despite my best efforts, i haven't been able to find the origianal pic which makes me think this was a "from scratch" job, making it more accurate. I can't believe that some magazines still base their new car sketches off old cars. To think that Ferrari would use the f430 as a basis for its replacement is rediculous. Look at their lineup, it has never happened. Either way, if it looks anything like the pics above, it seems ferrari have finally seen the light after the horrid california
EXACTLY! I think they realized the 360 was the star.. and I am hoping they take the sweeping curves to the "next level"
That would be one expensive joke. Great pics man. I also agree with MamoVaka in that they're going with a more sweeping design. I think also you could say they're taking from some the modern design classics (308, 328, F355, F40) with the air intakes in the recessed window. Possibly evolving the F430 headlights to the next level. Hopefully taking the best from all and improving on it. The rear I think will be much different than anything we've seen so far. The spy pics show that the center of the rear will be higher than the sides. It will be interesting to see the rear vent and defuser. I don't think Ferrari like hearing that they've built less than beautiful cars recently and I think they are out to prove a point with this. Even though I really enjoy speculating about the design at the same time I sometimes don't understand people romanticizing the Ferrari design process. Many old beautiful classics we're thrown together pretty quickly.
+1 Improving on what has been done is the most important part. Allow me to romanticize the design process a bit . Ferrari design must tell a stroy of evolution. The bloodline of the Ferrari supercars (288, F40 etc) is very clear (even though it was argued that Okuyama sketched the Enzo in Pininfarina's waiting room). This evolution is what I am expecting out of Pininfarina on this one, but not too subtle. I'm interested in 575 to 599. This structurally-intigrated cooling pit. I'm uncertian as to whether or not it could look too ninties. Can anybody say "Ferrari FX?" I really hope Pininfarina hit the ball on one swing with this one. Another interesting thing to think about is the fact that we no longer have Frank Stephenson (F430) or Castriota (599 etc.) to pen this thing. The car will be by a new designer unknown to Ferrari's current blood...with the likely exception of the California. _J
