    He better.
Trolls have short life expectancy on FChat. Particularly in the F1 forum.

    No.

But at people who snipe without sound arguments. Different opinions are perfectly fine, but there should be some rationale behind them.

:p:p:p Have to get in my shots when I can... Carol, I was being sarcastic as I am a huge RB fan and everyone is always telling me how washed up he is and how much better Button is, but I am not so sure that is the case. The times this year have been literally within a 100th of a second at most tracks, with the two drivers about equally splitting who was faster (see post very early in this thread by someone else).

Bottom line is Button is leading the championship and deservedly so, he has done very well, but saying he is so much faster and better than RB is a little bit of a reach.

SRT, I already have a bet for a six pack of suds on the Vettel - RB season finish with another Fchatter (who just might have a Kimi helmet as his avitar - cough cough tifosi12), which is looking quite tight at the moment :D. Button will probably win it, but a few more showings like the one he had at Silverstone and things (as I predicted a month ago) will get very interesting very quickly, be it RB or Vettel putting the heat on him...

What are you going to do if things get even nastier with the ****** twins, and Silverstone was the last race of the season?

My money is on RB, so if the twins "deactivate" the series right now, I win :p

Sorry pal, but you'll be buying me beers for next year.

As I predicted, Newey and Vettel are improving the Red Bull dramatically and Brawn is starting to stagnate. Will be enough for Button to win it, but not for Rubens to beat Schumacher, err Vettel.

ok i'll elaborate.simple.Ross Brawn snubs Rubens to that No.2 role since he was that at Ferrari. They are clearly favoring Jenson.Ross is "in love with his smooth style".I do however agree that Rubens' driving style made him get more out of the dog Honda of last year.Do you doubt this favoritism? Why is Jenson riding with a red camera and not a lime green one after bieng outscored by Rubens last year?BTW,anyone insinuating a "short life expectancy" for myself here should just grow up.I might be a little one sided, but I love my team.Any UCP members here? I think so. Care to elaborate?

    Bump,
Kraftwerk, his wager is with ME this year...:)
Let me think Tifosi12...just what kind of SUDS will you be sending me? LOL - I was actually getting concerned until RB stepped it up a notch this weekend. He actually has a slew of tracks where he does very well upcoming on the schedule too, including Spa and Monza. Vettel better start peddling hard or you are going to drop to 1-1 in your wagers. :p

They are both F1 journeymen. The Brawn car and the team boss are the superstars there.

As if you are implying the car is not ALWAYS 85% of the success of an F1 Driver? Two former world champions (Alonso and Kimi) are no where within shouting distance of the title this year, and I would hope we all agree it is the car.

Not ripping on you, just saying that the car is ALWAYS a huge thing in F1. Without it even the best on the grid are hopeless to win races and titles (see:Alonso)

It always seems that whenever RB does well it is always the car, but when someone else wins it is that they are a fast driver. RB is fast as **** and as I have said previously, you don't get seats in F1 for 17 years not being able to drive a car fast.

I'm not implying anything. Merely stating that RB and JB are F1 journeymen.

    Can be.

True. But you CAN without having what it takes to be a WDC. That is what a journeyman is. Often a good #2 driver like RB, Irvine, DC or Massa

I'm always amazed at armchair critics, who on their best day weren't even close. Because of the differences in the cars, it is almost impossible for an outsider to figure out who's good and who isn't. The people working in the field have a much better knowledge base than the self important critics like we see here, and they kept him around for 17 years. That says quite a bit about his talent.

I suspect, but don't know, that not a single person who has posted here has ever driven a modern F1 car, and if given the opportunity, would have wrecked it within the first 100 yards..... (myself included).
