At about 2 PM this afternoon the dew point was 84 degrees here in Sarasota. Now that feels hot. I go by the dew point. aehaas
It is 9:22 here in the Smoky Mnts and it is 61 degress on my ridge line - sorry guys I could not resist - I spent 40 years in Islamorada burning my butt off
I was in Orlando all last week for a trade show and the weather about KILLED me and my wife! HIGH Temp=humidity is NOT my preference. But as a Seattle area guy I did really dig the lightning and thunder (we RARELY get that here despite the rain we do get). I honestly don't know how folks in inland Florida can take it.... I hear the coastal areas and Keys are nice with ocean breezes... But I'll take the Pacific NW ANY day 70 here today, 30% humidity... ahhhhhh Jedi
No f***ing kidding! This past week or two has been hot, even for FL standards. Humid, and stagnant air hasn't helped... where's our sea breeze?!
My office is a block from the water. We had a stiff westerly wind today...it was like standing in 97 degree heat and then being wrapped in a hot, went blanket. I just went outside to put the garbage by the curb - it's 10pm and 85 degrees. And humid. Ever tried to breathe through a hot, wet washcloth? Same thing. RMX
Lately, the heat has been a bit extreme, but I'd rather be too hot than too cold. The crazy humidity is pretty bad and with curly hair it can be downright scary, but a good flat iron keeps me from looking like a total furball.
Now I remember why I left Florida. That and the drivers. And the New Yorkers. And the bugs. And the elitism. LOL
the heat index yesterday in Kansas City was 110, it's supposd to be above 95 for the rest of the week, and then off to Florida for me.
It snapped two of my tiki torches and sent my garbage cans across the street. The lids are still missing and my driveway is full of tree limbs. RMX
I'm not in Florida, but the swamps of South Louisiana are just as humid. I thought the thermometer in the 360 was broken today until I saw we really did get this hot..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
