That's what you get...! You deserve those nights of turmoil - you brought it upon yourself. What were you thinking trying to rationalize any aspect of a Ferrari...?

Good. Challenge wheels are not a problem at all. It took Ferrari about 20 minutes to confirm when I was at the Atelier to spec my car. One change seems to be that the Handling GTE can be removed now. They told me (= end of March) that this had to be on there. Not that I mind since it didn't bother me.

These are exiting times for both of us. I can't wait to go pick-up my toy and drive it home all the way from Italy. My build has been confirmed for September 2nd.

    Cheers,

    M

Excellant choice. Like you said you would have kicked yourself for not getting the ultimate 599! Also hard to justify a new 599 anyway might as well go all the way. Great color choices and options as well. She will be a true STUNNER!

Congrats and good luck getting any sleep till Nov :)

Hey Ape-man: Did they say how many of these they plan to make? They sound like they will be quite unique.

After adding the HGTE pack to your order, how is your 599 composed? :) Which color and further options are included? :)

Ferrari expects 40% of new orders for the 599 to be the HGTE version so it won't be unique.

Yes, but that's after years of production of the 599 and in a market where they are ramping down supply due to the economy.

My dealer told me that the majority of new orders he locked up are HGTE versions and I expect Ferrari not to stop production of the 599 anytime soon. In fact, a lot of people who placed an order before the introduction of the HGTE pack now changed their orders to an HGTE (and I'm one of them). Hence my point: expect to see HGTE's rolling off the production line frequently at Maranello.

Ferrari offers you the chance to make your car unique with the One-to-One programme where you can have it specced to your specific needs and wishes (colours, materials, ...). The HGTE is just another option you can check off on your order.

I guess it all comes down to how we define the term "unique".

Im not sure what is left out (if anything) by converting a 599 to a 599 HGTE. I never asked my dealer since I don't own a 599 and am ordering mine to be built as an HGTE car. That being said, Im wondering about the Alcantara seats and Transmission upgrades. Im sure there is some gray area as to what can be done to an existing 599. I'll ask my dealer next time I speak with him.

I thinking I've geard on fifthgear that the white dialplate and the new diffusor aren't included. Things as the bodykit are included. I don't have info about the new interior or the thicker antirollbar.
