    I've been looking at Mk1's and 2's over the last few months and the prices are going up and up. Recently missed out on a cheap Mk1 2 door locally by some dumb rich kid who sold it for peanuts. Personally I think these are getting a rock solid investment for the future. Full rally spec versions are making £20k+

    next step is to fully bare metat the shell bonnet boot and DOORS ready for paint doors are mint unlike somebody elses car on another site who has filled his with filler as he knows everything and wont listen to advice one good slam of that door and the filler will crack

    That's a good project Steve, keep us updated with it's progress. So much nicer than a Talbot/Simca Sunbeam Lotus! ;)

    Steve, I am so jealous. I had a MkII in that colour, but the mkI was a car I always wanted, worth BIG money if you do it right. ie No fibreglass and filler ;)
