What is listed is a US version f-40.The recall that they mention was most likely the recall for the suspension control forks which was done for the US f-40.

The recall is for the fork which the control arms attach to.
They were similar to the 328 campaign where the fork thickness was 4mm instead of 5mm.
Thus ability to shear or crack.

Having recently experienced the lower front wishbone mounting shear away from the chassis ( not at great speed and characterised by a rattling and loose bolt flying around beneath the bonnet), I would urge all F40 owners to get this matter sorted fast at the official Ferrari dealer. Both front mountings and the pair at the rear are replaced FOC and the handling difference is VERY noticeable. The set up is stiffer and far more positive. Maybe the laser geometry setting for a mere £520 helped but looking at the new brackets, you wonder why they were not present in the first place when there is so much force going through that mounting.

On another note, I have just had refurbished a front Speedline wheel for the F40 without using the plastic coating which always attracts moisture and disfiguration underneath. It has a thick coating of clear varnish and looks excellent. All for a very reasonable £175.00
