I just couldn't resist doing something new.

This is stage 1 of this years modifications.

Received HID lights today and will be installed in teh next few days.

Also ordered a Racelogic traction control system which a friend (Raj from Auto Diagnostics Ltd) is going to install for me.

Will post up pics as and when the work is done and will give a full review of the TC system.

Pics of the lights and the TC control box and adjuster. The one I'm getting will be black rather than silver.

Stage 2 will be engine mods done end of this year where I will be attempting to reach 400bhp.

After that... I swear I will finish and not do any more mods.

I reallllllllly want HIDs in my 355. To be honest, though, I am TERRIFIED of messing with the already-oversensitive Italian electronics. Has anyone had HIDs in their 355 for a long period of time?

WHat did you pay for the HID kit? And, how difficult would they be to install?

I've been told they are quite easy to install although I'm getting someone else to do it for me.

Got it from www.steel-mate.co.uk. total cost was £112.94 delivered.

A friend of mine has had his in his 355 for over 2 years now without any problems.

There's a *much* better solution for 348 lights than HID's. Click on the HIR link in my signature below.

    Hey Sy,

The Racelogic kit is a really fine piece of kit, its actually used as the basis of the system fitted to the Gumpert Apollo and is totally adjustable, with that you just dial in the amount of slide you require!
I know a few people who have them on non Ferrari track cars and they rave about them too.

I also know of an Fchatter that fitted HID lights to his 355 2+ years ago and hasnt had any issues with them. :):)

I fitted HID's to my Mondial t (same headlight setup). Required a minor modification and realignment, but have worked perfectly and the light is great...

HID's, great idea for a 348/355, the lights are rubbish. I remember the first time I drove my GTC in the dark, good grief talk about driving miss daisy!

Instead of HIDs I upgraded the Bulbs to the Toshiba HIR 9012 (Made by GE) I think.
I can actually see in front of the car at night now!!! Not bad for $50.

One of the best mods you can do next to changing the steering wheel.

    :)

As I'm having some electrical stuff done, thought I might as well get a set of the Ferrai window boosters that Frazer sells at www.ferrariwindow.com.

Great service from a very helpful guy.
