I am wondering if anybody may know where I can get or borrow the tool to tighten this nut. I have the 5 special tools from Baum tools already but this one is different and they don't have it.

    thanks!!

You can make a tool to do that by cutting/grinding an appropriate sized socket so it ends up with the 4 protruding tips. Wouldn't take long with a small grinder.

It's too early for me to search for my own thread, but I made a tool for that for my steering wheel. IIRC, 1 1/8" socket and a Dremel or grinder and you are in bidness.

I know but after I called them it didn't look like they have it; I wish they had utilised the same design that the tool on ebay has, which supposedly is original Ferrari.

That one is too small :(

Seems like I have to grind one like suggested.

    Thanks for the input!

I'm getting ready to build one myself. My car's horn wire has a short in it and I need to pull the steering wheel to fix it. Sometimes my horn honks when I make right turns which, although funny to my friends, is a little embarrassing to me. There are a couple of good write-ups here on Ferrarichat regarding making the tool. One person even made a mold using Play-doh which is what I plan on doing.

    Good luck!

This question comes up often enough for me to ask:

Has anyone tried to cost a small run of complete sets of these sockets, which would comprise all 6 (?) of them?

A friend of mine has a machine shop with HAAS and Proto Trac CNC milling machines and lathes. If they have the dimensions either on a computor program or a drawn plan, then can make anything. I am sure that if there was sufficient demand, they could and would do the job.

A sears socket and a Bench Grinder does it for me.
