Joe, Honestly, take the car out of the garage one night or cover it and let off an insect fogger. One of those things and he'll be laying on the floor the next day.

    Hope it helps!

"or COVER IT AND LET OFF AN INSECT FOGGER" ????????????????????????? Y I K E S.
That is one scary recommendation! That stuff gets EVERYwhere. Unless you want your Ferrari to smell like the Orkin man spilled his bug spray in your car, pass on this one.

Did it in my basement with three of them. It depends if it's an oil based fogger or not. The smell with disapate. And I mentioned to remove the car...

Not Yet. Kept all the lights on in the garage last night. I think he has been reading this thread, and is keeping it on the down low. Meanwhile, I was up all night doing my best Ozzy Osbourne impression while I sharpened my tennis racquet with diamond dust and drank the blood of a thousand snails.

Are you reading this Batty...I am coming for you....HARD.

Great thread. Had one in our vacation home. Wife and I chased it around with pool nets. Finally got it out of the house. Took about any hour. Good luck with the tennis racket, but they are quick, so I suspect you'll have to find another device to make this work.

bats are good guys they've just got a bap rap. down here we've got major mosquito problems. a lagoon, retention ponds, and foreclosed homes with pools. the county sprays which helps but any natural predators are more than welcome. i've got 3 bat houses and a big purple martin house and thankfully no vacancies.

So I'm in a functional anatomy class and decided to read this thread. I immediately burst out into laughter and tried semi-successfully to silence myself... until I read Korr's reply letter. I was promptly asked to leave, and now I'm posting from the table outside the lecture hall... Thanks for the great chuckle any ways; very, very funny!

    Dear Mr. JoeZaff,

My name is Mr. Kitty Cat (aka, "Mouser", "Big P*ssy", "Lucky", "Lefty", "Vinny the Nose", "Mr. Black", "The Wolf", etc.), and I am a professional problem solver (aka, "cleaner", "pro", "mechanic", etc.). For a tidy sum (payable in small, unmarked, bags of catnip and tunafish), it can be arranged for me to come out and visit your garage and to perform a small "contract service" for you. If you wish to arrange a meeting, leave a dead bird under the large tree in your neighbor's backyard sometime between midnight and 4 AM.

Many years ago we had the same bat problem in my family's weekend house. It's an open patio/terrace and we had bat poop all over the walls. This is in Mexico btw...

Our guy watching over the house said that we should hang cacti plants (nopales) with large thorns where the bats are flying in and they would either not enter anymore or enter but fly away.

At first we did not believe him. Bats have a radar type sense but said to go ahead anyway and hang the plants. It's been over 20 years and those damn bats never did their mess again. :) PM me if you want more details on the set up.
