    I am considering upgrading the radiator cooling fans on my '84QV. Yes, I have searched the archives but found no clear description of what people have done with respect to the physical mounting of the more modern push style fans. I am looking at using Spal 11" push fans but don't want to bastardize the original look of the radiator with make shift mounts. For those of you that have undergone this I would appreciate any tips, photos.........

    I mounted a SPAL VA09-AP8/C-27S in front of the radiator using (2) aluminum angle strips running across the top and bottom of the radiator. As you can see, I do not have the AV unit on my car, however, you can probably extend the existing brackets if you do. BTW, the fan works great.

    Harbor Freight has those horns on sale right now for $8.99. I bought the chrome set. Now don't you guys start in on me about it.
