Holy crap Ed I didn't know you were old enough to be in that first GT40 picture! Luke add me to your list please!
PMs sent. if I left anyone out, please let me know and I will get you the info. This should be a good time.
Cobraowner, thanks so much for the story. At leasat I bet you were not trapped in by traffic back then and probably had some options. I wish I could make it. Just maybe.
PM me with info, I *might* be able to join w/a new Tifosi buddy (neighbor) looking to buy a 6-speed 360
ME? Yeah, but I can still post pics (LOL) hahahaha...wait till I se you on Wednesday night. I have a 'gift' for you PetWetter. BTW, we dodged a storm out of Annapolis enroute. Pretty thin crowd at the Donut this morning (it was sprinkling there too). Sorry we missed you and I could not make it to Darnestown. :-( Turns out my buddy could not do the FCHAT drive anyway. ALPO
Thanks Luke for putting this together and a great choice for lunch! Hope the bumper buffs out. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow, that was quick! THanks for posting the pics. Luke, thanks for organizing! It was a great time, great lunch, and I look forward to the next event! Jerry
Wow - What a great time! Thanks 355Dreamer and Lashss for organizing this run with a terrific route, and ending with fantastic BBQ. Special recognition goes to Minico for bailing out of the fun so he could help a fellow F-Chatter with clutch trouble. Wetpet - sorry you got arrested (again? You seemed used to it). Guys - Your cars looked great, and it was good to see more than just Ferraris together for this run. Again, thanks! Neonzapper
where's the other pic.... you know..... the one where you're about to get the body cavity seach by the cop and you whip out a box of donuts just in the nic-of-time?
Excellent run today, thanks for putting this together Luke! It was great seeing the usual clowns and meeting everyone.
It was an eventful day for me today (obviously)!! First off, thanks to Luke for organizing the drive, the BBQ, and even having us over to his gorgeous new house to watch Wimbledon. Half way through the drive, while we were all lined up at a stop sign, my clutch just let go. Pedal went to the floor, and it wouldn't disengage. I put it into neutral, and was able to drift the car off to the side of the road, where I parked it and shut it down. A quick look underneath showed a fairly significant puddle of expensive-looking fluid, so that was the end of the day for me. Dominic volunteered to go get the truck from Competizione to haul my car in, and Barry, JB and Nate stayed with me while we waited. Barry even broke out the cigars. Thanks, guys, for sticking around -- it really made a tough situation easier. After we got the car loaded up, we still made it to the BBQ place in time to have lunch, stopped over at Luke's place, and then met Richard at Competizione, where he opened up the shop so we could get my car safely stowed inside. Then Dominic gave me a ride back home. Thanks again -- you were a life saver today. Owning a Ferrari is great, but the best part is the people. Here are a couple photos of the ordeal. After Richard and Fernando have a chance to take a look the car, I'll let you guys know what the problem was. - Eric Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Eric, Having been in a similar situation on a Sunday in 2006 after the Spring Thaw, it was my pleasure to help you out by keeping you company. I can speak for Jim and Nate, we had a good time with the roadside cigar bar. Thanks to Dominic for being in the right place at the right time! Glad you got the car to Competizione and yourself back home safely. I'm sure you will be back on the road in no time. Barry
Sorry I missed it---Looked like a great time----But my body was telling me to stay home and sleep after working all night. Sorry to hear of your troubles Eric, hopefully you get it fixed soon....
