I saw this car in Sweden the second of October 1982. I think it was at a car show in Sollentuna outside Stockholm. I have to cheque. I will be back soon. Best regards! Magnus
Nik, Thanks for your pictures. Interesting I never saw ones of the car in Metalic Green. The car made its premiére at the 1968 Torino show painted light green. Not everybody was happy with that color and it was immediately repainted. For some time it also was red and later silver. For me it was good to see that in 2003 it got again its original color. I know the Manta was at some sort of a carshow, i went thru some old Bilsport magazines a couple of days ago and saw a blk/white pic of the Manta at a carshow.

Do not know that car. These pictures were taken in southern California where the Manta got it's restoration. The owner at the time was from Mexico and he had a number of cars being restored. Manta was sold before it was finished and the new owner completed the car. It toured Europe last year and met up with it designer Giugiaro during the trip. Manta is now back in sunny, dry California.
The fron hood look another as todey on the restored Manta. Why is this car in USA? Its italian car made by Giugiaro in 1968, I dont understand this. When I come to Bertone, Italdesign or another designer and I ask I whant buy a concept car they say we dont sell. Here I read that Manta is in USA and have owner from USA. Its not fear.
