    Eric,

Sorry to hear about your car but we'll keep our fingers crossed for you that it isn't anything serious or too expensive.

that's a great phrase that I just added to my autmotive lexicon! Sorry you had trouble, but it doesn't sound too terminal.

A big thanks to Luke for organizing the meeting location, the drive route, lunch and the beautiful viewing location for the Wimbledon final afterwards.

It takes a lot of work to put something so simple together.

It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday!

Thanks to everyone who was able to come out. We had a nice group of 13 cars, and only lost one! :) I hope everything works out for you Eric. You certainly took it all in stride.

    Let's do another one soon!

Here's the culprit in my clutch failure -- the throwout bearing. Notice how the housing is completely ruptured at the base of the flange. This apparently is a fairly common failure mode in both 348's and 355's. Now a brand new Hill Engineering piece is going in, which should last a lot longer than the original part. Also going to replace the clutch disk and pressure plate, and resurface the flywheel. Richard thinks he'll have me back on the road by this weekend -- should be better-than-new.

it actually looked alot worse with it dripping fluid like it was. Glad to see it's a known condition and easily fixed. A huge thanks to Richard for answering his cell phone on a Sunday afternoon. You are the man!

Hey Eric, it was great meeting you considering the tough situation you were in. I was glad to be able to help out a fellow "tifosi". My biz motto on the truck is just that.
"Servizio per Tifosi" There was no way to enjoy a drive leaving another Ferrari stranded. Your cars going to be ready to roll better than before, lets get a drive on soon that we can enjoy and finish.

Many thanks to Luke who's driveway looked great with the variety of F-Chat cars of all types. I look forward to the next drive guys.

    Ciao
