Good luck with the lip spoiler. It really is a quality piece, and the external shape was copied directly from an original Serie Speciale spoiler. But there have been a lot of stories on FChat regarding poor service and delivery from Valence -- I hope you don't experience that. Anyway, once you get it installed, be sure to post some pictures.

I think that the 348 is a beautiful car and the photos prove it. With that said, as within any car, some will love it and some will not. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Having owned may Ferraris one that I wish I had never sold was my 348 spider. Great value and fun for the money and a sexy little car to boo!! I fact, they are such a bargain right now I may add one back to my stable.

    LOL! :D

Just in case you are really trying, let me know and I can give further instructions on how to make it work. I now have the setting I want to use for the good 3D pics. I am now waiting on my MAF to be returned from being repaired (hopefully next week). The best way to view 3D pics is with shutter glasses. Some of the new TV's are set up to use them along with a pc. You can view full screen pics and video in 3D. It is really awesome! This is the new direction for television. But for just a quick look at a 3D pic, you can use the cross eye method. If you are having trouble getting the two images to converge, try moving back from the screen a bit so that it does not take much to do so. Funny pic though! ;)

Gents , just some hints for shooting your car. First don't look down at the car from standing height, it foreshortens the car and the angle is expected ( the way we usually see cars ). Second, try lowering your shooting height to mid body or slightly lower. Third try a slightly wider lens than stock, this will accentuate the lines lines but be careful, if you shoot too wide sometimes the distortion overrides the sleek effect you're after. It totally depends on what effect you're after. Do a test shoot around with different angles, lenses and heights, it's what we do when were searching for the best angles. Every car has it's own attributes, find them and explore.
One angle that always works well on almost any car is a straight profile / low angle or what we call a 7/8's low where you see just a tad of the front or back.
I won't go into lighting right now because that would take a week but try and avoid direct sunlight, especially between 8am to 5pm in the summer. Your best light is going to be 'Magic Light' which is sunrise and sunset especially after the ball has dropped.
I've shot thousands of cars over the years and the style, technique and lighting always changes with the times...........good luck, experiment and most of all have fun.

Thanks for the tips! I am new to photography. I have a decent digital SLR camera and I am very excited to experiment taking pics of my 348. :)

    I call BS :D

The 348 photographs great ... much better than a 360 or 430. You need to find the right angles and techniques to bring it out.

I agree that the 348 looks good in pics but it does not do them justice. I am always having friends tell me that my 348 looks so much better than they first thought after seeing the pics.

I've always been a big fan of the 348 and have also felt it sometimes looks awkward in photos. Everytime I see them in one of my many Ferrari books I always feel a strange sense of disappointment..... Then, just the other day, I saw an early version with the black sills coming off of Rte 3 south in Duxbury, MA....and I was totally blown away. What a stunning car when you actually see it in the metal. I had to pull over, let him pass, and follow just so I could see that low, wide, pininfarina design and hear that intoxicating exhaust note.
