No problem with that in NJ and NY. I know of many groups that go on 100mph rides with a cop. It is their "get out of jail free" card. As an aside, I feel the speed limits in the USA are entirely arbitrary, and designed for revenue generation. There is something intrinsically wrong with a speed limit when the flow of traffic is about 20mph faster than the posted speed limit.
