I dont have the case study in front of me but if you look at the woman spinning below and find her going clockwise you are right brained. If you really focus and tell your left brain you want her to spin left she will. Its a real brain teaser. (hint if you cant do it with mind control then try putting your finger in front of you and twirling it in the direction you want her to spin... Hope you guys like this one...

If you look up right vs left brain function, you will get information on what it means if you see her going counter clockwise first. Its interesting...

Seriously... WTF? Is this a trick video of some sort? Does she go CW for a while and
    then switch to CCW?

OMG - My wife just JOINED me watching this thing.... WE DISAGREED THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!!!!
I'm saying "Clockwise" while she's saying "counter" and at random intervals, we REVERSED our
    opinions but NEVER in sync....

    How does this really work??????

It works by weather your brain thinks with the right or left side when visualizing things...

Clearly... had the whole fam in here - EVERYONE sees it differently... One daughter can change it 'in her head',
I can only change it 'with my finger' and my other daughter's boyfriend only ONCE got her to 'flip' from 'right
to left' - for him it was ALWAYS clockwise. I find that MOST of the time she goes CW. If I think REALLY hard
I can make her go CCW. The only way I can reliably make her change by 'choice' was to 'twirl my finger'... to
make her go CCW for me....

    Very interesting...

Then how would that explain that last night the 4 of us were each continually calling
"clockwise" and "counter" - we were never once totally in sync! And my daughter's
boyfriend Kyle only once called "counter" - the entire 10 minutes he kept calling "clockwise".

And I'm able to 'change it at will' by twirling my finger.... clearly is an optical illusion but
based on how our brains work - sort of like the old static image "is it a vase or a woman"
    that everyone saw differently.

Update: I just deconstructed the GIF using GIF Constructor and it consists of
34 individual frames with a single 'infinite loop' command and a very short slide
transition time. Nothing special going on internally. I tried to attach a ZIP file
of the 34 frames but at 1.24 MB it exceeds the upload limit for ZIP files.

Update 2: If you load the individual frames into Photoshop and strip the girl away from
the background, you will find that there is absolutely no 3-D references or shading in her images
at all, ever. It's a series of absolutely solid 2-D images that are simply altering in their shape.
What makes her appear to rotate is in fact the BACKGROUND - it is fooling our brains
into seeing 3 dimensions in the girl, when in fact SHE has not changed. So we are
simply seeing the rotation our brains want to use at that moment in order to make sense
of the moving image (which is solid with zero surface detail) against a background that
seems to have depth - our brains try to make it ALL have depth, because in the 'real world'
this image SHOULD have depth, and therefore our brains DEMAND that she rotate. Each
frame has an ambiguous position in 'space' that works for either direction.

That's my theory and I'm sticking with it. :)

I can make her appear to spin in both directions with little effort.

I wonder if she can do this sitting down?

That question was to see if you were using your frontal lobe or Limbic sytem........:)

Counter clockwise for me. It was easy for me to change the direction when I look at the picture from an extreme angle rather than head on. That way, all her legs look like is one standing straight up and the other swinging back and forth. It's easier to convince yourself whatever direction you want her to spin.

I find that mine pretty much does too. But I just twirl my fingers and think 'right' or 'left' and
she turns. A biz associate can't make her go anything but CCW, no matter how much he tries!!
