There will be no changing of opinions on that site. I like the NSX as well as the 348 for different reasons. I can see why people would objectively say the NSX is 'better', but my money went to the 348 because it was more unique to me.
Best to keep your cool, and let others keep their opinions.

You find this in every car forum, owners get together to convince themselves how their model is 'better' than some other commonly perceived 'higher' model. Viper forums have threads about how the Viper is better than some Ferrari model. 'Vette forums the same, and the list goes on. It's just human nature, no biggie. I couldn't care less what they think, I'm thrilled with the car in MY garage :D :D :D

Honda makes some great products. Both the NSX and S2000 are exceptional cars that have more strengths than weaknesses.

Those fools don't have a clue. One of the does not like a 308 "GTI", but thinks a 328 is a much better looking car. Its great reading what complete NONE car enthusiasts think of Ferraris. I can start a whole new thread on Jap car and Vette hating, but I won't. If it wasn't for Ferrari, Honda would have never made a NSX. The NSX is a cool looking car, sounds great and drives well......buts its still a Honda. I'd take a Mondial 8 over any NSX, just so I would never have to own a Japanese car.

Everyone has an opinion, and who really cares what anonymous people on the internet, who have no experience with a product have to say. I have better ways to spend my time than comparing articles on which car is 'better', and then proclaiming my expertise.

Still a Honda ? What are you trying to say ? If the "H" symbol had a Horse on it instead,
would you rephrase your statement ?
The NSX is just as exotic if not more than a 348, and you dont have to worry about it breaking...

Having come from an NSX to the 348 spider, I think the NSX was a better car. I still got the f car, and I also think I am much happier having the ferrari in the garage... :D:D:D

And if it wasn't for the NSX, Ferrari would have never made the 355.

Having fixed more crap than I care to remember on my 348, I can honestly tell you that it has been THE most unreliable car I have ever owned, EVER. I could have just about bought another 348 for the amount of money I have dumped into this thing. I keep working on it because I know eventually I will get the car to where it should have been from the get go. Then it will be one badass 348.

But let's be honest here. The NSX is a better engineered car than a 348, and that is why Ferrari refined the 348 turning it into the 355. Does that mean that the NSX is the end all be all. Absolutely not.

Having said that, there is still something that gets me excited when I'm driving my 348, and I'm glad I own a Ferrari. Would I ever trade my 348 straight across for a NSX? ARE YOU NUTS? No fricken way! I still would rather have my 348 than a NSX. But I wouldn't pass on the idea of adding a NSX to my garage, and I do recognize that the NSX it a wonderfully engineered car.

I chose a Ferrari 348 for a number of reasons....I could have purchased a HONDA if I had wanted. Personal preference......no big deal.

that goes for the people on this forum as well.

I see the Viper, NSX and 348/355 as being equals. They are all fantastic machines and its simply a matter of personal taste at that point.

    Hey, let's discuss 348's v's NSX's.....

    Pointless....

If you don't understand why a Ferrari is the car to own, then buy yourself an NSX/S2000/Jappa/GTR/vette/whatever....

Makes no difference to me, I own my DREAM(355;)) car. End of story.

    But that car is wrecked!
I think the bottom of the pricing for an NSX is around $22k, and those usually are with 150k miles or so.
Pretty good return on the money / depreciation for a car that is approaching 20 years old.

The NSX is a very nice looking car, and very well engineered, but everybody I spoke to (friends who are car enthusiasts) during my Ferrari search said they would take the 348 over the NSX.

I really love both of them ,it would be tough to choose..

My head and common sense would take the NSX
My heart and soul would take the Ferrari

I would love to have both, hopefully some day, I think 348's are gorgeous cars, in the ideal world all you need is a 3.2 version of the NSX with a supercharger (so that can make you keep up with the new 56552HP cars) .. drive it, have fun, then keep the ferrari for very special moments, both cars not as DD, but of course, treating the Fcar with more respect and a bit of more care since you don't want to break it ... that's all.

I personally removed all my Acura badges off and put some Euro NSX-R "H"'s in there, b/c it's a HONDA, Acura my a** .. the 80'-90's were glorious for Honda @ F1 .. that's all, for me my NSX is a celebration of the amazing era of F1 (people in Europe and Latin america are very passionate about the F1 circuit) .... just the fact that I am driving a car tuned by none other than Senna and a car that Gordon Murray used as inspiration to create the Almighty McLaren F1 road car takes me smile each time I take out. .. now, is the NSX the best car in the world? NO, does it hurt my Ego i drive a Honda? nope, would I love to have a Ferrari, of course.

    Oscar

PS: Real enthusiasts know the truth ... :)

Geez, will everyone that hasn't seen the numerous and ridiculous heated debates on the NSX vs. the 348 please use the search engine and read page after page after page of opinions and experiences. This thread has turned into another redundant topic we've seen played here too many times.

For what it's worth.....I'm a new 348 owner. I could have bought a 360 or 355. Both beautiful cars. I chose the 348. I just love the way it looks. I'm also an owner of a Mondial Cab. So I know what bashing is all about. I've had the Mondial for over 10 years and it's been a great car. Can't say anything bad about it. The 348 puts a smile on my face everytime I look in the garage....and isn't that what it's all about...........Lou
