    Chris welcome

    The mods here don't really like spamming a question several times in different places

    And it has to be said that the question has been asked a million times so it might be worth doing a search and spending a lot of time reading the results and also having a read of http://www.my348.com/348.html

    Hello, Chris;

    I guess the first thing is to ask if you have driven a 348 yet. Does it fit you, are you comfortable? Taller drivers can have a problem with leg room if the top is stowed behind the seats.

    You have to bear in mind that parts for the 348 are now TERRIBLY expensive, so you need to find a car that is not in need of immediate work, or it will rip a hole in your wallet before you know what happened.

    I personally do not recommend the 348 to anyone who is not capable of doing at least SOME of their own maintenance and repair work (and hopefully even ENJOYS working on their own car). The 348 is a car that is straighforward enough that a home mechanic can do almost all of the work himself, but I think that most of the owners will admit that it DOES require quite a bit of fiddling to keep everything in order. If you have to pay shop rates to do all of these small jobs, you're going to get tired of it pretty quick.

    Watch out for noisy transmissions. Be aware that replacement fog lights are over $1000 IF you can find them. Windshields (installed) are over $3000. A/C control modules are over $1000.

    Good luck with your search, there are quite a few of them out there for sale.

    Specific questions will get you specific answers.

    No such thing as a 1993 348ts. If someone is trying to sell you one with that claim, it is either a 1992ts, SS, Challenge car or a Euro model GTS. Three threads on this already with a total of three posts???

    Lol.

    To the OP: you should be more specific with what you want to know. Otherwise we're all just guessing.

    Why is it that this happens? Someone posts a question like this and never comes back? I am fairly new here. Is this something that happens alot?

    Yes, it does happen a lot. But I'd like to think that we at Ferrari Chat can still make a newbie feel welcome here. Same if he walked up to you at a gas station and asked some questions.

    I certainly don't mind answering questions to someone new. It just seems odd how they never seem to come back. I picked up my 348 a couple of months ago. The other day, I was out picking up some parts at the auto store. A guy came over to me and asked if he could take some pics of my 348. I asked him if he would like for me to take a pic of him next to it. It thrilled him to death. After that, I gave him the tour of the car. He thanked me profusely before leaving. Good stuff!

    That's a cool story. I love answering questions about my cars, and it's discouraging to encounter guys that don't seem approachable or eager to talk about their cars.
