That was a great video. Congrats to your cars being immortalized in the Ben Rose house. I went to the open house on Sunday and there were quite a few people there. Stunning home, incredible views, but needs some TLC and some updating (the steel windows have begun to rust on the inside of the house).

I have a few pictures posted here... sorry no red Ferrari in the garage.

    Another chance:

For those who'd still love to either visit the house and garage and/or put their Ferrari into the garage, mark your calendars:

On Sunday, June 28th there will be another open house event organized by the realtor. Noon to 4pm.

"It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

However, I will be at the FCA lunch. Hope to see you at the event.

I'll be at Marchetti's as well.

Very nice quote there. That movie is so darn brilliant: Great lines everywhere. And so unbelievably true. "Life moves fast."

It would be fun putting my Modena 250gt California replica, created by Mark Goyette in 1985, in the garage. I'll contact the realtor.

Thank you very much for the kind words.

I'm normally the last here to get his copy of Pilota, so I haven't seen it yet.

Well shoot Andreas, we had it with us at VA show.. showed it to several people. Obviously we loved the article too ;)
Sorry I didn't show it to you... I called and asked for a couple extra copies, the girl at FOC said they would try and get us some when the excess copies came back to them.
Thanks again, it was great to see and read!!

    Thanks' for fixing the link.

I'm sure they did the same trick with rolling back the car like when we did the Today show shoot: Chelle and Haley tugging away at the rear end of the car just out of the camera's sight.

Excellent video and another great memento!

I was gonna stop posting on this thread cause I'm not trying to be attention grabber, but there was some Ferris news just now..

John Hughes just died of a heart attack :(

He created so many of those wonderful 80's movies I grew up on, and I thought I'd post an update..
    only 59 years old.. sad

Director John Hughes dies at 59
    By PAT SAPERSTEIN

John Hughes, director of culturally significant films such as "The Breakfast Club," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Planes, Trains and Automobiles," died suddenly today of a heart attack while taking a morning walk during a trip to Manhattan. He was 59.

John Wilden Hughes, Jr., born on Feb. 18, 1950 in Michigan, began as an advertising copywriter in Chicago.

In the last decade, he stepped back from the legacy he created to enjoy time with his family, maintain a functioning farm in northern Illinois and support independent arts. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy, two sons, John and James, and four grandchildren.

    R.I.P. John Hughes.

Now I'm double glad we celebrated his extraordinary film in May.

Next year's Oscar retrospective segment will be one of the longest of all times given all the greats we're loosing every month this year. :(

I was just rereading through this thread when I saw this picture...

    ... IS THAT GLENBROOK NORTH???

I'm so ecstatic because I go to Glenbrook South, but I'm at Glenbrook North every Wednesday night for Symphony rehearsal.

I know that parking lot, it's gotta be... how cool, I never knew. Now I have to go watch the movie again. (Not that I'm complaining...)

I have been contacted by an aspiring movie maker who wants to shoot some "Ferris Bueller reenactment" with a Ferrari (different person than the one mentioned earlier with his blog) at the sites of the movie.

So anybody with - ideally a period correct or related - Ferrari convertible who is willing to help out, would be more than welcome.

So far I could only think of our two FChatters with the Mondial Spider and the Daytona-R.

Can anybody PM me the contact info of the guy with the 250 GTO Spyder replica from WI (IIRC)?

Let me know if anybody is interested and I'll hook you up.

Mark Gerish, then in Two Rivers Wi. built a 250 GTO Spyder for Frank Beard of ZZ TOP. Is that the one you're thinking of?
