I saw Doug Steele taking photos at the event and the Tour today - I'd check his website in a few days. www.dsteeleimages.com Also check the Keeneland Concours site soon. FYI - next year's marque is Ferrari.
Here are a few pics of mine. It was really a great show and the weather couldn't have been any better. Also, the owner of the Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 was a great guy, I talked to him a bit and he also has a Miura and the 2nd Countach made! Thanks. My guess is that you are on the right track, but I am not sure who owns the yellow Scuderia. It was a beautiful beautiful car though
It was a stunning car! It was great to see the 2 430's next to each other (and the crowd that they seemed to attract all day.) It was perfect weather, a great turnout, and a great day! I am already looking forward to next year
Thanks, Brian. Even though I've yet to make it to the show, I know Jas has taken at least one of his cars out there over the past few years. I love the Scud in yellow. That 16M isn't too shabby either. Haha.
I missed the 16M!!!!! Where was it? I didn't get to the show until 1:00PM and I will kick myself if that was the reason I missed it........
Hey, Joe. I wasn't at the show either...I was simply referring to the picture of the 16M above. I will be there next year.
It really is a cool show, I definitely recommend trying to make it if you are in the area. The 16M was located by the Delorean, the Maserati Bora and the silver Nissan GTR. It was a great looking car!
I can NOT believe I missed it...I saw the Delorean (of course, I didn't really care about it.) From the pics, it seems the 16M is truly stunning. Oh well, hopefully next year
So what weekend is this happening next year? I need to get it on my calendar now so I don't miss it again. Found out this week that my wife's boss had an old Mustang there. I've never seen it but I hear it's nice.
I will yield to someone with a lot more experience in the matter, but I'm sure that they don't announce the dates until close to the end of the year.
You are correct, it will be a little while until the dates are posted. Typically they try to keep it the same weekend every year though.
I live about 10 minutes from Keeneland...I was supposed to be there, and then something came up last minute that took me out of town. I'm going to make sure I'm there next year.
As has been said...this event is well worth the time. I can relate because I had several things come up on Saturday, but I rearranged my schedule and made time for KC. The only regret I have (besides not seeing the 16M!) is not being able to spend more time there.
Looks like another pleasant day! Unfortunately a friend smashed her finger that day... so I spent my Keeneland time in the ER as moral support & a ride home.
They announced it at the awards presentation, but I forget what the date is. It seems like it was going to be earlier in the month next year? Like I say, remember hearing it but then it left me.
Here's the schedule - July 15, 2010 - Bourbon Tour July 16, 2010 - Gala July 17, 2010 - Concours July 18, 2010 - Tour d'Elegance Racing class already has a LeMans-winning 250LM scheduled to come. Working on other interesting Ferraris. I also recommend taking the Sunday Tour - I took my Maranello this year and had a great time! Beautiful scenery, interesting cars and an all-around good time. Let's get a lot of Ferraris out!
