help 355 sticky switches

    so the story go's i have a good mate who really helped me out big time.... i want to return the favour he has a 355 with the sticky switch syndrome most of his switches need doing i would like to buy any old 355 switch covers (cheap in need of repainting) that any of you guys may have laying around it's a long shot but maybe someone has upgraded to CF covers if i could get hold of any i will build up a collection and repaint them before his holiday ....he's off O/S in november 1 wk this would be perfect time for me to fit them to his car it would be a wonderful suprise for him when he gets back ...............cheers

    Contact Robbie at www.stickynomore.com he can refinish the switches, he did some work for me and it came out perfect. Also his prices are great

    Riggio, the switch covers are not really removable, and you do not want to be taking the switches apart, it can be a nightmare to reassemble. The carbon fiber switch covers that I have seen, simply slide over the oem switch. They are not exchanged with the oem switch cover. Hope this makes sense.

    Your best course of action is to learn how to clean the switches of the goo, and refinish, or do like I did, and simply ship them off to Robbie at www.stickynomore.com that is the least hassle and best results. ;)

    What a fantastic gesture. Very cool.

    My advice, given your time frame I would look to refinish his parts yourself, it is a messy and time consuming job, but not really that had to do and not costly (so long as you do not break anything :eek:)

    Plenty of threads here discussing the best process to use. The results are fantastic.

    i thought about shipp switches to robbie i reckon there's a 4-5 week turn around for him to refurb the switches ...... i can repaint the switches no dramas there was gonna suprise my mate when he got back from O/S with refurbed switches ........cheers for ur input guys

    4-5 week turnaround??--I can complete most jobs in 3-4 days, shipping back to you maybe 5-7 days--Total 10-12 days, not weeks....
