I got something that I hadn't even realized until rummaging around in a box with the original radio. I have the original radio blanking plate. Jeff
I have that too, it's in this picture on the right. It's the same material as the dash. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's a fine example, you should be proud!! Clock Tag discussion has been covered long ago......there are threads.....
Very nice car. Couple things I didn't see. Spark plug tool in toolkit and the small key that locks the pouch behind the passenger seat.
your right I didn't see the spark plugs either. you need two champions N6GY, I had ngk's b4 and got dinged, they do look
That's a Beautiful 308 !!! Good Luck!!! Clock tag, radio space cover? This site is PRICELESS, I learn sooo much. THANK YOU EVERYONE !!
Okay, this is good stuff. So, I know one spark plug goes in the round plastic cup, what's the second one for? Tony
in my tool bag is a pouch for the two plugs, I've never seen them in the plastic cup. I have a extra bulb in the cup laying down and no judge has told me that a plug was to be there? and the two plugs are in boxes!
Hi Guys, Unbelievable 308 Tony, what a find!!!! If you check the US 308 QV parts manual(I have a 1983 Edition) the round plastic holder should actually contain a spare headlight globe! The spare sparkplugs are shown as boxed and contained in the toolkit along with the jack etc. That bag even has a little pockets for the boxed plugs. My 1984 Ozzie delivered 308 QV gts is set up like this and the toolkit is 100%original and untouched! Hope this helps, Cheers Pete
you know just becuase you have everything they'll find something else,I got my point sheet and I got deducted a point becuase the rubber on drivers door had a worn gouge the door close's,another point for the finish in the 308 emblem, and how about another one for(black fade on right mirror base, and rough finish on rear anti-sway bars and shocks) I don't think just becuase everything in check is going to get you there, good luck....I have almost 58k miles and I'm going to continue putting the miles on and I'm going to fix these items to becuase I want 1st place
Thanks. I'm really not in it for the points or the judging. I have won a number of first place trophies over the years with other cars and have really had enough of it. If I go to Cavallino in January I just want to know that the car is complete. Tony
that part you said "had enough of it" I know what your saying, but I'm going to keep trying till I get there.
I don't see the spare tire carring bag. Do you have it too? It is made out of the same stuff the top cover is. It sits inside the spare wheel up front
I have done a few serious nut and bolt restorations... The most recent being a Miura SV #4870 that belonged to the EX Shaw of Iran. I'm not going there with my 308's undercarriage, not yet anyway LOL! Here is the Cannonball Countach & Miura SV. Washer tank mounting...just to make sure I have this right, I have been searching for pics here for about 2 weeks. I have seen the opening (lid) to the washer tank both toward the front of the car and toward the driver...which is factory correct please? I see the photo you have shows it forward toward the front of the car... Thanks, MB
