Hello, i own a 1982 Ferrari Mondial 8. I replaced my spark plugs, spark plug wires, Distributor caps, rotors and the coils. I replaced the fuel pump too. And my car is still missfiring and skipping? When i start my car it doesnt missfire or skip but as soon as it goes on idle it is missfiring and skipping? Anybody got an idea? I would really appreciate some ideas what it could be.....Thank you

Do you -know- it's electrical? Use an induction timing light to test the spark at each plug wire.

Have the injectors been replaced in the last 20 years?

    Just thoughts...

Was it doing this before you did the work?

I am in about the same situation, except I didn't replace the coils or fuel pump. The best I've come up with is that the timing is way off, although I don't know what I could have done that would have affected it, unless it was jiggling a wire to a sensor somewhere. I'll be watching this post.

Hello again, i just put new extenders on and my car is still missfiring. I took her out today, she started to missfire about after 5 miles, before she was running fine. I really dont know what to do anymore. I guess next thing I have look into are the fuel injectors. But maybe it is something simple. Any suggestions? Thank you
