@Ed, I see you are based in the Neuchatel area, did you ever see the Gaston Renaud Collection in Cortaillod? I organized a club reunion in Biel/Bienne with a visit there: http://www.lamborghiniclub.ch/PastEvents/Fruehling_2004/index.html
One hand on the steering wheel doing 160km/h, window slightly open, nice. But what happend to to wipers
Today we went to the Mercedes Benz Museum together with the Porsche museum. However, it was a very special day for Porsche as you might know... We even crossed Mr. Wiedekin leaving the building: what a symbol... Here are some other pictures, sorry for the non-Lamborghini ones, it was so tempting! I especially love the 904 that was in the repair shop. Then we had our 400km trip back, fantastic! Here's another shot of Ed's car from last weekend, for me, this was the star of the show. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Raymond, I know the collection by reputation but I never had the chance to visit it. I'll PM you about the club since I'd like to join!!! All the best, Ed.
Ed, you have the choice to join the swiss club www.lamborghiniclub.ch or the romand club: http://www.lamborghiniclub-romand.ch/ Wherever you go you are welcome, I'm "only" in the swiss german based lamborghiniclub.ch Looks like the roman club visited cortaillod last may: http://www.lamborghiniclub-romand.ch/index.php?file=Gallery2&op=categorie&cat=23
Hi Raymond, Due to the language barrier ;-) I'm gonna go to the romand club. My german is not very fluent... I hope I can meet you one day! All the best, Ed.
Well, on peut se debrouiller en francais, mais mon francais de l'école est rudimentaire... I have soon chance to practice french since we're going to cannes from 2nd to 14th august.
Rudimentaire... pas tant que ça! En tout cas il est bien meilleur que mon suisse allemand! Excellentes vacances à Cannes et à bientôt!
I had promised to share these photos way back on page 5 of this thread, and then somehow forgot all about it. I guess they are still relevant for this crowd, even if not recent. They were taken Sept 17th, 2006 at the Palos Verdes Concours in California. Apologies for the sun blowing out the quality of some of the photos. It was not the ideal time of day for taking pictures. The color is probably not for everyone, but I thought in combination with the white interior it made for a striking combination. I quite liked it! As most will know, this is the very recognizable #6643. The owner of the car at the time was listed as Perry Mansfield of San Diego, CA. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the pics. I miss my old car. :-( I believe Perry still owns it. At least he did at the time of the recent Hemmings article on the car.
Beautiful car. I believe the Islero, is the most undervalued classic Lamborghini. The Islero is, so much car for the money - it has it all.
Here are some updated photos of #6243. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here are a few new shots of #6243. The color really became noticeably Bronze once interior pieces were installed to add a contrast. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It looks really GOOD!! The color scheme is very nice. What is the exact name of the color? Is it "Bronzo Chiaro"? You must be impatient to enjoy it. Amusing: I just sold my vintage 911 that was the same red as the one behind your Islero...
The color is Bronzo Scurro, Dark Bronze. Yes I'm getting a bit impatient, but luckily I have a few other cars to drive. Joe
Thanks, Here are the latest shots, it is getting close. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Truly magnificient!!! Especially with the vintage Roma plates, it adds a dolce vita appeal to the car. I love it! More pictures please!
Hi everyone A few pictures taken this afternoon a couple of miles from my house. Aren't these roads inspiring? Perfect weather, perfect car to enjoy it! The only thing that misses is the sound! This V12 is amazing. Those in the know will recognize the "Villa Blanche" first signed building of Le Corbusier, hidden in the trees. And for Jota 5084, yes I put the wipers right! Best to all, enjoy summer... Ed. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
