Wasn't the California color above baby blue enough? Here's a more baby blu'ish one. Purple comes in so many shades, bit more specific people Nonetheless while fiddling around I found a nice shade. It's bedtime for me now, black wheels will take too much time now, but will continue on tomorrow and you won't be disappointed While searching around I found this press/render image of the 430 Scuderia 16M Spider, they recycled the wheels for the 458 They do look great on the 16M nonetheless, now I'm curious if someone actually bought a 16M with those wheels. Or perhaps they dismissed the wheel design before the design went final (all real life presentation pictures have Scuderia type wheels). I'm nearing my attachment storage limit quite fast now, so I'll have to think about something... Do you get more by subscribing? Black an White are definitely the colors for that car. Yellow looks really good too. What about bi-tone? white body black roof.
Great choice of colors here! How about Oro Chiaro (Clear Gold) from 1973. This 458 will be solid gold for Ferrari... http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/classic/112_9105_ferrari/index3.html
Great work Jim! Can you put silver scuderia stripes on the blue (or dark royal blue, tdf blue?)? Would love to see this combo...! Thanks
God Bless you Jim! You have done some great work. I'm partial to the White also. and Yes I'd love to see the car with the Black Wheels also! So cast my vote for White with black rims but I'd like Yellow or Red calipers to offset those wheels. You've really nailed many of the colors. My hats off to you.
I love this car! I can't stop looking at the pictures. Hopefully one day, I will have one like this. . . . Image Unavailable, Please Login
another one. I know they're not the cleanest or most precise photoshops, I'm just trying to get some ideas out of my head. . . . Image Unavailable, Please Login
One more, imagining what this beauty would look like at night. . . . in black . . .. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The black is great -- hides the bulbous butt and duck nose more than the other colors -- and I may be the only one who likes the marrone/vinaccia. but that's pretty mean as well...great work!
Just playing around with all these colours shows what a strong design this is. It looks good in (almost) all colours. It also shows that this can be specced as a classic or as an aggressive car. I like the two tone white-black. Makes it very special. Thanks for the impressions. Cheers, M
The only issue I see with these photoshops is that all colours seem to be non-metallic. But I guess it's very hard in PS to simulate metallic.
Great Job, Jim! Do you work on callipers too? If so, the rosso corsa and the black one with yellow callipers please...... Ciao, E.
It's a stunner! Bianco with black wheels, mirrors and red calipers. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You're correct, what I'm essentially doing is taking all reds and change them to another color (avoiding rear lights and slight red tint in the interior of course). Metallic will have a different reflection in a studio scene, but now you mentioned it, I toyed around a bit with the lightness and saturation to create a more metallic feel, what do you think? The rear deck in black looks pretty nice actually Do you have the picture with Stradale wheels in stock form (non darkened scene), so I can borrow it? If you're ok with that Bi-tone is quite interesting, I tried a few combinations and Bianco with black wheels and black roof looks ace. Rosso with stock color wheels and black roof also looks the part and since you like yellow, one with black wheels, roof and mirrors Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Gallery was a bit overbright, so searched a bit and found this site. So I based it on the top image from your link and the pictures from that site and it looks good On a modern design this color actually looks like a modern color, while actually being a vintage one, amazing.
