gotta agree. first time in a very long time I havent been repulsed by a Ferrari design. Its sleek and sexy like a proper supercar, without looking too much like a boy racer. That said, its still really nothing special. It doesnt really stand out in an increasingly crowded market with Artega, Lotus, Mclaren, Farbio, Porsche, Lamborghini, Audi, and possibly Noble and Saleen nipping at its heels. But thats ok, because it does a good job representing Ferrari, so its loyalists will not be disappointed.
Jim, suprised in the sense that your car design should've been exclusive, legally protected? was it? i'm just curious. or surprised in a general way? me, i am not surprised in any way... the P4/5 simply kicks A$$! flattery if you will..
Car is drop dead gorgeous! Instant WOW. no having to think about it or look at it from different angles.
Yep. Other than the LED lights (which are expected these post-R8 days), and the fact it's red, there's little similarity. Well, they both have 4 wheels... 360 + Enzo - the Enzo ugliness = 458
No matter where inspiration comes from it does look extremely good. Make 100 kg´s lighter and we have a killer.
How amazing would a carbon fiber roofed cs/scuderia version of this be??? Based on the lines, could this potantially be possible??
Outta the ballpark! Love the design. The side is awesome with the zig zag line connecting to the door handle. The metal almost looks more like fabric where it stretches along the side and up over the rear deck to form the air intakes. Just exquisite... Front grill is great. Interior... esp around the steering wheel looks great. All in all... very little to criticize... however, if i HAD to: the rear grill is little "busy" with that central red section... and the front vents around the headlights again kind of finicky... but very minor things. Perhaps this could be the "Challenge grill" option.. the solid black vent echoes the front solid black intake area... just a quick render with PS: GT Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Best looking 8cyl Ferrari since the 288GTO... and finally Ferrari has a car as good looking as the Gallardo and the Vantage...
I don't know why they complicated things in the back, splitting the grill so awkwardly. The photoshop looks cleaner IMO, although that design would to be expected by the people, so I guess that could be one of the reasons they decided against it. The design of the back is similar to the front grill if you would paint it in the same color, so I guess it makes some sense. But still it is the only thing that bodes the eye... a bit to much complicated IMO... [img=http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/3959/carphoto32092625.jpg]
That as a challenge grill would look a bit like the SP1 one off. I actually like it with the grill panted.
As much as I love the car, that DOES look better to me. When I get mine might have to have it painted.
This has to be the first Ferrari in a while that I just smile whenever I see the pics of it. I swear, this car is FLAWLESS!
I had a call from a buddy of mine today that saw the pics of the car on MSN today. Totally not a car guy but he knew I have Ferraris and called to tell me that it was the most beautiful new car he's ever seen. It really blew him away. They hit this one out of the park.
This looks almost exactly like the Italian car mag rendering of a few months ago... you know-- the one EVERYONE said it would NEVER look like! LOL! It seems they saw the car but didn't know the grill would be blacked out. Actually, I like this too but I'd wait to see the car in the flesh first. Either way, it looks amazing.
