Good deal, we'll need to meet up somewhere/sometimes during the trip. It looks like me and my brother will be flying into Brussels, probably arriving Thursday morning. We'll be at the track for the practices, quali and the race. I've never been to the area before, so I have no idea what's around for eating and sightseeing.... or drinking :)

It doesn't look like there is alot of hotels on Expedia or Orbitz, so I'm gonna have to call 'em all on the Spa site and see who'se got rooms available. That'll be fun

They do say that you can accomplish more with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a kind word.

The management assumes no responsibilty for those foolish enough to take its advice;)

I don't see how you could sit anywhere but Eau Rouge. Gold 4 looks perfect!

I don't know the Belgian area, but at our side of the border, there's virtually *nothing* west of the Rhine. Well, the Nürburgring maybe ;)

I have no idea if this guy is still around, but my wife and I stayed with him 4 years ago and he was a fantastic host and a very reasonable price. His name is Dominique and you can tell him that Jim and Katie from Houston were the ones who stayed with you 4 years ago. His English is so-so, my French is so-so and we got along famously. Good luck! He even drove us to and from the track for next to nothing, so it might be worth a look. Here is the info from an old email:

Just remember, you're trying to get permission to go to the race, you're not trying to score.

Nothing wrong with scoring, just make sure you get race permission first. Or after, I suppose, if you're really good at it :D

I'm considering taking my 12 year old son to the race. He's never seen Schumacher and I've never been to Spa. Any idea on prices for camping and parking at the circuit? Do you have a link to the campsite's website?

    I have found these places:
    http://www.campingspador.be/
    http://www.campingf1.com/spa-belgium.html

    Thanks
