Hi my name is Roger and I live just west of Toronto. I have been reading the posts here for a while. While I have lusted after Ferrari's and everything exotic for decades, I have never owned one..... one day. For the past couple of years I have enjoyed the next best thing (read the closest I can afford at this time). I have a kit/replica. It is a "Velo Rossa Spyder" It is what a 250 GTO would have looked like had they made a spyder version. It is based upon a Datsun/Nissan 280Z chassis that is powered by a 327 small block. It is fun, handles amazing, as it has a great power to weight ratio. Best of all, no actual Ferrari's were harmed in the building of this car. I get great reactions from all that see it. Even encountering true Ferrari and other exotic cars on the road I always get thumbs up from the owners/drivers even though mine is probably only worth the average insurance premium on their cars. This is not one of those easily recognizable Fiero kits, but I have never, tried to present it as what it appears. Until the right time comes, this is my four wheeled therapist as nothing clears the mind better than open air driving.

 

Thanks, I was begining to wonder if I were being avoided because I don't own a real Ferrari. I was under the impression that this was for enthusiasts as well as an owners site.
