my wife spotted a trashed maser convertible on 94 today. Said it was red, hit a Honda and lost.
Not really; look back in time and and you'll see some pretty(shall we say uneventful) models i.e. Urraco(sorry Chelle and Ferrari 308 GT4 owners) and the old GT cars. I respect others opinions so mine is not meant to be gospel....as you said....."to each his own!" Still, I wonder why so many pics of your car show it with the doors open; it looks so much better with the doors closed! I can't think of any car that shows a better stance with its doors open.
Well to each his or her own. I love what Lamborghini is doing, particularly in recent years and have grown weary and tired of the low key designs from Maranello. Ferraris were the rage when they looked like the Boxer or the TR and became pretty lame with the Scag or the California. Until yesterday that is: The 458 is again what Ferraris and Exotics should be all about. Time for Lamborghini and all the others to come up with a truly new design (and no, adding a wing to the rear end doesn't constitute a new design).
The F430 is a bit lame looking but man, the Scuderia looks like a brute a real sports car. IMO the Scuderia is almost perfect.
Today must be christmas, also saw a yellow Gallardo on Peterson and Lincoln, followed it for a few blocks before it went bye bye, great sound. Then a couple minutes later by Lincoln and Crawford I saw a red F430 sounded great when it accelerated, then it turned left on Pratt and was gone. Today was a good day
I don't know about cloned, but they certainly said they took styling cues from it. It took cues from the Mille Chili concept which in turn took cues from the Enzo.
430 is ok. And a 360 with aftermarket pieces (e.g. Novitec) looks downright mean as I like it. Spotted a 360 and a 612 in Fond du Lac yesterday. There must be some kind of convention or something around here... Image Unavailable, Please Login
White McLaren with big black wing on the streets around Elkhart Lake. First time I ever saw one on public roads.
You mean... this one? (Sorry for the screenshot. Best I could do without photoshop.) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yup, that's it. On a public road noless. Given how rare they are, this makes most Ferraris, Lambos and whatever else we consider "exotic" look rather common.
Wow!! Your post is way too calm. Should have been more like this: White McLaren!!!!!!!! with big black wing!!! on the streets around Elkhart Lake!!!! First time I ever saw one on public roads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not bad, but it's on the track. This is a better spotters photo with it Image Unavailable, Please Login
LOL That's how I felt when I saw it on the streets. Almost wanted to give up the Rally and just chase it to the end of the world. But luckily I found it in the paddock again today. What an incredible car and the hippest seating position ever. I like the Matra in the eighties, but this is way better.
I've never seen a McLaren in person either, but man now I really want to drive up to WI to see if I can find it
It would be worth the drive, Got to talk to the owner for a bit, He was a real nice guy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Saw 3 F430's today in downtown. 2 were red, 1 was black with smoked tail lights at least, my head was turned so I didn't see the front but once it passed me I hear the distinct sound and checked my side and rear view mirror to see it was a 430, by the way it was in a kinda ghetto area as I got lost. I was thinking to myself "what is this sweet F430 doing in this area?" The 1 red F430 was parked outside opposite Carmine's on Rush street. The other red F430 was on Canel street headed towards the "Sears aka Willis Tower" being driven by a young looking asian guy with a female passenger.
Don't tempt me!!! I'm going to IRM (Illinois Rail Museum) tomorrow for a car show with my dad and son. Perhaps he'll still be in town next week?
First off, I am insanely jealous of the McLaren sighting. Saw a Mercedes 600 Pullman parked on Rush at Ohio. Image Unavailable, Please Login
