Yes. Horrible. I probably got as much tired from those 100 miles as i would have from the whole trip.

I'm from Indiana, Do not speed there, they refer Indiana/midwest the crossroads of America for a reason, to ticket. 465 is 55 mph, absolutely ludacris!

Don't worry about the front plate thing. They only really enforce it for in state license plates

Just saw this thread, I've driven from Chicago to NYC a few times, most recently back in May. Honestly the trip flies by I think, I've done it at various hours of the day. Best investment is I utilized my Slingbox a bit via my cell phone piped into my car speakers. I've been pulled over in Indiana twice for speeding :( It will take about 12-13 hours each way.

I just got pulled over in Indiana the last time I drove (1.5 months ago) doing 55 in a 75 (thats what I wanted the cop to believe!!!!)... pure scam it is :(

Paid $160.00 for the fine and no points.... ticket itself was $124.50

but yeah in general easy drive....

Another alternative for long road trips is to stay OFF the interstates (if you have time, of course). Rte. 6 across the top of PA is really nice. the interstates are BORING; the US Hwy. system can offer some great driving roads. purchased my 997Tt from a dealer in Ohio and drove it home to L.I. and took rte. 6 just about all the way. A great way to break in the car. lots of different speeds, gears, etc.
