I find these pictures just sad.

Here is a 7 times WDC and he isn't allowed to practice for one of the biggest comebacks in F1's history.

Something is very wrong with this picture. Courtesy of Mad Max.

The rules suck. Especially in this unforseen instance.

There really should be some circumstances where a limited amount of testing could be done. Jamie is a perfect example; that kid should never have been allowed on track during a race weekend without having done some serious seat time in an F1 car. These rules are asking for a death.

I've already said it before. The current in-seasong testing ban rule is as dumb as how the 1 tyre rule was. Cost saving my @$$.

The F1 and FIA governming body is about as intelligent as Nancy Pelosi and most other modern day politicians. They love making rules but don't take the time to think them out. Somone is going to end up dying if they continue the mid season "testing" ban. There is a big difference between testing and training to get yourself into an F1 seat.

The problem is, that allowing MS into the Ferrari will not only help MS get used to the car, but ultimately develop the car, so I can understand the competition's veto (unlike the case of Jaime).

So to be fair, they should allow for something like one week of testing per team to be taken at any time during the season.

Exactly, but you speak sense a rare commodity where the FIA is concerned.
