Ed will be authoring a thread specific to the event when information gets finalized. Wives G/F's are not only accepted but encouraged to attend. Last year we had (12?) cars convoy up route 19 for a spectacular day. Expect to do the same this year. We'll put together a meet and route map when the details are confirmed.

Hey Guys, Sorry I missed the past couple of weekends. Went out to the Larz Anderson Museum yesterday to check out the Italian Festival. Very interesting collection of cars, everything from a Fiat 500 towing a "mini camper" to the new Ferrari California Spyder (and everything in between).

Anyone heading out to the Hemmings Exotic Car show this Saturday in Saratoga Springs this Saturday? Let me know, as I'm planning to head out there.

Regarding the weekend, Sept 13 works for me too, just let me know the details.

    Hi Guys and DrJess,

Date - by concensus the date shall be September 13th

Cars and bikes of a sporty nature.

All are welcome to attend - spouses, children, buddies. Enthusiasm is the only requirement.

SaintB as always is one or more steps ahead of me.
Yes you are correct. Committed to polo next couple of days after which I'll start a new thread with the specifics.
That will keep this thread from becoming cluttered up.

UConn - don't worry about the weather. I checked the long range forecast and the weatherman says September 13 is predicted to be a glorious Autumn day.

DrJess - Glad to hear that you can make it. Finally.

All - Please pass this invitation along to anyone that you think would be interested.

SPECIAL NOTE - This is FerrariChat so we need to draw more Fcars. Last year the Pcars edged us out in the count.

I'll get a food/supplies list together (that means my wife will advise what she needs)

    You guys are great !!!

    Regards
    - Ed -

As always, its up to mother nature. Been pretty tough on us this year...maybe she will cut us some slack. Anyone got anything on her? She's acting like Mother-In-Law nature.

Weather looks questionable for tomorrow and I'm not missing another weekend of Ferrari fun. Anyone want to come out and play today? I'm thinking maybe a nice little beach cruise with a visit to the Hopyard for some real fun.

Beat you to it, Lane. I was out having some Noble fun. Saw you heading toward Old Saybrook. I spun through the car show there. They let me in for free so I could check it out. Decided I'd rather keep driving. That's when I saw you going the other way in the black beauty.

Craig...saw you as well. Stopped by the car show and listened to them begging me to join in. I didn't have time as I wanted to cruise. Hung out long enough to see what they had and spoke with a few M3 owners about the SMG gearbox. The place seemed a little empty when I realized all the spectators had circled my car. Brendan was there and said hello. If you come tomorrow, he might be at the bank ahead of you. I told him yours and my attendance was weather dependant. I'll be checking the radar last minute and deciding then. I'll post here when i figure it out.

Yeah, I got the "Wow, what is it?" from the main guy out front. He used his hand held radio to let the guys inside know to let me in so I could check it out. They were begging me to stay too, but it was too nice of a day to be sitting in a parking lot WITH NO SHADE for my bald head. :D

Sure was great day for a drive. I had just finished installing my new side-mounted Liftmaster garage door opener on the bay with the hoist (so I don't have to open and close it by hand anymore). Should have done that a long time ago! A normal opener doesn't work, because I ran the door channels all the way to the ceiling so the door is out of the way. The new opener worked great the first time I tried it, so I patted myself on the back with a long cruise and then used the opener when I got back. Pretty sweet to be able to drive right in and not have to get out to open it. Highly recommended for anyone with a hoist that has moved the door up like I did.

A great day for driving indeed! In one month I went from 2270 to 2840. The drive home from the dealer and 2 round trippers to Lime Rock account for a good chunk but I'm smitten and try to do a little driving almost everyday. We'll see on the weather for Sunday

I'm with you guys. Today was way to gorgeous not to be screaming down a New England road in a Ferrari. I'm glad I own one!!!! Spent half the day cruising, and the other half taking a clay bar to my baby. Thanx to all who recommended it. It has never looked better.

Weather looks better. Just calling for some sprinkles at some point. The worst of it is supposed to stay to the west and south. I'm going to gas up. Lane, give me a call on the cell. If 9 is still chewed up, we can go the same way as last week again.

Weather related limited turn out today. Welcome to the newest attendee's. Frank brought the 430, Carm in the Merc, and Everet and Lee in the Lotus (nice to meet you). We still managed to get 5 Ferrari, 1 subie (from Craigs lot), 1 Lotus, 1 M3, and 1 Merc. Carm got incredibly lucky when he departed. A State Police cruiser had just entered the parking lot as Carm aggressively accelerated out. The Cruiser followed him to the stop sign and let him go. Buy a lotto ticket my freind. I know if that had been me, they would have called SWAT.

    Dave...hope you feel better soon

I had a nice time getting out to G-bury today. Surely the highlight with this weather. Didn't get to talk to everyone. I have to see about lowering my ride. Three fingers between tire and wheel well. The stock set up looks like a monster truck compared to some of the others. Carm is going to help me out with that, looking forward to it.

Joe - no rush at all for the scanner, I have no codes, woohoo!!!

Craig - ok, that garage is just heaven. I vote we have a meet at your place someday for a tour! :D

I'm sure game for that, Jay. We have some nice roads everyone could explore around here too. We could find a place to meet, do a road tour and then end up here to chill, grab some food and refreshments, etc. That would sure shake up the neighborhood.:D Our house is in a pretty private setting and there should be plenty of room to park everyone, either in the yard, in the driveway behind the garage, along the driveway (it's pretty long and I keep a grass border cut along it on both sides). We'd just have to pick a date that works for most people. It could even be on a Saturday, so we wouldn't have to interfere with our usual gatherings.
