How many of you have had your car(s) photographed by the Car-Parazzi?

For those who don't know, the Car-Parazzi are kids and adults who go around their local area "spotting" exotic, classic, and luxury cars. The cars can't be at a museum, dealer, or car show.

If you have had your car(s) photographed by the Car-Parazzi, share your experience here! :)

With the advent of camera phones and small digital camera I would not call them the "Paparazzi". They are more than likely taking a photo to show to there friends "Look at this F#%$ing Ferrari I saw parked in front of Starbucks!"

The true "Car Paparazzi" are the ones that hang out in the weeds outside of the proving grounds to get a shot of a new model wearing a diaper so they can sell it to Road and Track or Car and Driver.

How do I distinguish between this particular group of jerks with camera phones and all the other ones? Which one was in the Honda that almost drove me off the road Saturday trying to get the shot of my car?

Sheesh. And I only drive a 328. I cannot imagine what someone in a higher profile car has to deal with.

I don't take pictures to show to my friends. I upload the pictures to various websites, and edit them.

    Probably the camera phone guys.

My dad and I will almost never follow a car to I want to photograph. I'll grab a shot or two as we drive behind it but eventually we will go our seperate ways and move on.

Most of the cars I spot are in a parking lot or valet area, anyway.

I have had pics taken of my car while stopped at a traffic lights by both a camera phone and a regular phone. In most cases they ask if it's okay and I tell them of course, and I even ask them if they want me to duck out of the picture. It is quite flattering.

I think a group should be started that take pictures of people taking pictures of the cars. That would put them off and possibly cause an unbalance in the universe.

To me, that's the beauty of Ferrari's.

I have a 575M, and a 430 Spider, but I appreciate that classics just as the newer models, and in some cases more.

The cars are literally timeless, no matter the model. I still plan to pick up a cherry 328 at some point.

meh, i have had pics taken of me out in mine. if i am out in public, and they dont threaten my safety, i dont see any harm in it. if they drive like idiots, try to race me or threaten / follow me too close i will call the cops, and or have a surprise for them. my lawyer will beat up theirs. :)

I have only had my 308 about two weeks, but here in OK its like I am some celebrity going out. I noticed this from the time I picked it up at Motorcars all the way back. There were cars that would speed up to drive next to me, then I would see the windows going down and cameras or cell phones coming out. At the gas station, at stoplights, just driving down the road people are going nuts over my car. It has been like that virtually every time I have driven it.

At work I park outside my window where I can occasionally peep out and see the car (it just makes me smile) and it is not uncommon for me to see a crowd around it and someone inevitably taking photos.

I am generally ok with it as long as noone touches it without my permission. If I am nearby I try to open it up and let them snap photos. I figure thats part of the fun of ownership - maybe it will bring the "car nut" out in someone else. If not, thats ok, I know that I made their day and allowed them to see a car that they dont regularly see.

If I had to guess, I would say that easily more than 500 photos of my car have been taken in the last two weeks alone.

I was driving a Saleen S7 TwinTurbo down the road and almost got drifted into a concrete barrier by 3 kids in a Acura Integra who were trying to video tape the car. They kept weaving into my lane as the driver looked over to see where i was

Haha ,you brought up another story of mine...

About 4 months ago, A new surgery center opened up by my house. One of the doctors that works there owns a red Audi R8 and a white Porsche (997) GT3. I've easily taken over 1,000 pictures of his daily driver, the red R8.

    here's a few shots...

I don't really want to. But long story short someone accused me of with holding their personal info(which was false), and threatened to sue me. In this case it was actually a legitimate threat, and not some 5 y/o I had been on the site since its inception, and its gone so out of control its pointless.
