I was kicking around the idea of making a custom 348 watch. Just wondering if there is any interest. Something very limited, built well, Swiss Automatic, or possibly Swiss quartz depending on the price point. Automatic would be over $500, quartz would be under $500. More along the lines of $300. I have some ideas for the watch, just don't know the interest level. Looking for Feedback

Chris - I've been thinking of a new watch, but I find myself being very picky on what I like. Would have to see an approximation before I'd commit.
LOL. Same here, my car is being stubbornly reliable not giving me the excuse to upgrade anything. I might be interested in the watch, but would like to see it before I commit.
I LOVE watches and like the others, I would be keen to see it first. Can you tell us what ideas you have Chris or rough pic or something? I am a watch fanatic, although I dont have the money to buy the really nice ones. This may be a good alternative. As long as its BIG, I have big arms/hands and bigger watch suits me very well.
I can show about a dozen different styles from my supplier that can be customized. What's cool about it is, everyone here can assist with the design and details. So, everybody that wants to, can be involved. NoDoubt, nice pics, but we can't use the cavallino on the any part of the watch. We would just utilize the numbers 3, 4, and 8 with some custom dial work to make it a 348 watch. I will post some pics of some ideas once I get to my Mac
We can redesign everything on this watch! We can even PVD the case! Price would be pretty affordable (under $400 fully customized) We can make our own custom strake dial Match the hands to the car gauge needles Put a sticky strap on it and not this super comfy pilot strap Engrave anything we want on the caseback. It would be all custom (except for the case) The watch is 42mm Automatic (Miyota, but they have other models with ETA 2824's, but pricing jumps) Maybe a flat black dial with Red numbers, strakes from one side of the dial to the other but only 5 lines to match the rear strakes. I have some ideas, just need someone good with Photoshop to help Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm game. Making it look like the 348 dials would be pretty cool. And then engrave the last digits of the VIN on the back. Kai

Tissot's are great, but it's hard enough getting a watch band out of them. I will not rely on them for a custom watch.
I like the Idea of making it look exactly like the speedo same color yellow/orange Also strakes of some kind for sure, maybe the 5 gate shift design, and for alarm some lights that show slow down 1/4 or check engine 5/8 Nice touch with the sticky band lol
How often will we be required to change the timing belt, and do we have to remove the innerworkings from the watch to do so? I like the idea of the black face with the orange numbers to match the vignali (they're vignali, right?) gauges. What a great idea!
You should add an adjustable timing belt replacement interval dial. Set to the current recommended 3 year timing, or adjusted to the owner's preference! BT
We can fully customize this one, but It's stuck at 3:55 Maybe Goth will buy it!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
