Of the fchatter's, I would say Jim has the biggest shot of getting one first if he so choses.

 

and the 599 and the cali and the 430 before that.

 

Luca will get the first 458. Why do you think he's auctioning off his personal 599 for a great charity, to the highest bidder?

 

Are you referring to "That Thing You Do" ?

 

In a recent interview (I think it was GQ or Esquire), Luca said that after his 599 is auctioned he will be getting a 612 Scaglietti.

asked, Richie last week at the Chatham meet said he's interested in the 458, so we shall see...

 

Very first handful of customer cars will be in Dec 09 or Jan 10. LHD European spec. Thats when mine arrives. First batch of cars in any numbers will be Feb/Mar 2010.

He already stated that he he has enough cars to drive right now. I have a feeling it is Mike (ICEMANBOBS) in Europe in Dec 09 as he stated above, he is always 100% on about the future Ferrari Products as well.

I think this is very optimistic. The Frankfurt show, where the car will be shown for the first time is at the end of
September. If I remember me, it took them more than 6 months with the California between the first presentation
and the very first test drive of journalists I have my doubt that there will be just 12 weeks now until first customers
get their cars.

 

You must not have read his posts in the past... He's basically always spot on.

 

If memory serves me correctly Mike got his California in January so that followed the same timescale from the factory launch in Sept '08 that he is saying is going to happen for the 458 i.e. factory launch Sept '09, customer deliveries Jan '10. The press test drove the California in Sicily last October which was 1 month after the official launch, not 6 months

 

Rossa with Crema for the first one, Black with Tan or Black for second car, unless they introduce spider shortly after then will ditch second one for spider in yellow.

Car looks great in real life better than any pictures, spider will look better.

However a V12 is a V12 and wins hands down. California was a real disappointment, mine has 210 miles (up for sale) on it and even my wife wont drive it, not a real Ferrari, no passion. I have been assured this will be worth it, we will see!
