Some recycling of names, but that doesn't bother me so much. The question is the positioning going to be the same. If the Mulsanne is the entry level trim on the premium sedan, can't wait to see the Turbo R and then Mulliner treatment options. Their model life expectancy is ~10 years right now, they will not finalize the best version until 2018. :)

Not bad, I'm liking it, but the front looks a bit odd. It looks great though.

Is this an all-new car (i.e. platform/chassis) or based on the CGT, Arnage, etc?

I like it, not crazy about the front end (headlights/foglights) but side profile and rear end looks good.

    New thing entirely,except the powertrain.
We'll know specific details soon but the engine and tranny is a modified Brooklands unit (supposedly).

I love it! sure things could change here and there but thank good its not to VW-like. i think its very british and thats what it should stay as. It looks like a real bentely and a throwback to the 50-60s. The new azure should look amazing with this body work. Its big, bold, and veddy british. I would much rather own this than a phantom. This trumps the phantom and maybach by far. too me, it oozes quality and class where as the others are just kind of crass... i do like the phantom but sometimes, even in black... it speaks to loudly.

    Muul-san.

But seeing as the current Bentley CEO is a German, living in the UK, I'll wait for the official intro...

I doubt they'll have a problem filling the roster. Arnage is the end of an era for sure. However, this car demonstrates (to me at least) that Crewe has not derailed. Bold, bespoke, unapologetic, potent beyond necessary, exclusive, and full of presence. If that's not for you? ehh...
Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maybach (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry).

Conti R Mulliner? Nice taste! What do you think of the Brooklands?

Love the Brooklands, the friend that sold me my Conti tried to sell me his Brooklands, but if I came home with that I would be living in it.

the fog lights are a little odd

But the rear end is 1000% better than the Porsche Bananarama

I agree with you that they haven't derailed, but I think this is the wrong direction. Seriously...

The front end looks like someone styled it after Sloth from the movie "The Goonies"...

Not an A+, but I give it an A. I like it a lot. The front isn't perfect, but when a car gets this big, the surface areas get large fast... tough task to keep this stylish and proportioned...

Location of the smaller lights are an evolution and were inspired by the Continental from 1953.
Like it or not, this car is a pure Bentley, not supposed to be loved by everyone only by that well heeled, traditional group of buyers who supported the ancient (but so lovable) Arnage for the past 10 years.
Bentley expects to sell about 700 cars per year (World Sales) and trust me,even if you wanted one you will not be able to order one in the first year of production.
Foley already has a bank of orders large enough to fill 3 year allocation (in today's economy).
That car has character no MB or Maybach can match and a little bit of controversy on headlight or bumper placement only adds to it.

In my mind, the Brooklands is a "pure Bentley." That is a great car. This just seems like the designers threw a bunch of random parts on it, there is no "flow" to this car.
