I fly a lot for my business, and often take photos out the window. I shot this coming in to Seattle from a meeting LA yesterday just before noon. Kind of a neat view. Jedi Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you. I Agree - it was a fun approach. Normally at least a mile to the east, and higher up. Tried to get a shot of the stadiums, but a stupid cloud was in the way I do have a great shot I need to find and post here - the day the Seahawks won the championship and were Super Bowl bound, I was flying in from a NAMM show in Anaheim and took a shot over Seahawks Stadium at the exact moment the game ended, and in the photo you can see a ZILLION camera flashes going off! Amazing timing... I'll see if I can find the shot. Jedi
Oh....we were concentrating on the Space Needle? I was trying to figure out what structure next to it was...the gold, red, and white blob.
The EMP - Experience Music Project - Paul Allen's [failing] tribute to Northwest bands - except that it doesn't include Hendrix (family pulled the plug since they own all of Jimi's rights), and all the 'grunge' bands (Nirvana et al) are in a single small case. Most of the rest is devoted to unknown 50s and 60s bands, only one of which was famous - The Whalers (Louie Louie). I was once on the elevator to the top of the Space Needle with a German couple. The husband asked, "vas ist dis big blob - ist this building that collapsed during construction?" My kids and I all laughed, and explained the bizarre architecture. I wrote a blog about that day here: http://tinyurl.com/mag7vd - if you're curious about the EMP 'blob'. Jedi
I agree. I was really disappointed the first time I saw it. I think it detracts from the rest of the Center.
Nor is it often you can get a clear enough day in Seattle so that you can take this kind of pic. LoL Sweet pic!
