Our own Robert K scored big at the stringent Concours on Thursday. His Giallo Fly Dino GT is the earliest 246 (that he has found) and the judges gave him top marks well into the platinum range. Well deserved as he has stories of the journey to bring the Dino up to these standards.
    Congratulations!

The setting was at a wonderful site, Chateau Julien. Cars were arranged by model "La Vigne" style, being placed at different locations on the winery grounds each with scenic backdrops.

Many thanks to all for your kind comments. My car is #00462; I have been told that it may be the lowest SN 246 in the US, and so far in my 8 yrs of ownership I've heard of none earlier. BTW there's a guy (friend of a friend) in Wisconsin (I think), who is restoring the next car off the line from mine, #00464! As I told Scott, I only got the car back the Weds prior to the Thurs Carmel Valley Concours, after nine months at Juan Villareal's shop in Campbell. When I get around to it, I'll send a synopsis of everything he did, but briefly, it was a re- rebuild (following a crappy job when I got the car in '01- I was too naive' at the time to know to take it to a known Dino guy for major work), as well as stainless exhaust/headers, new carpets, and a bunch of misc stuff. Suffice to say it drives like a rocket ship now, compared with the "before"!
