Wow Jim, thanx 10000000000000+ for all the different colour combos!! I just went thru the whole thread now and I don't even have to make a request you have it covered :D

Tho how about photoshopping Hayden in the passenger seat??? (hahaha kidding  )

You're right, it looks good in almost every colour option you have thrown at it :)

This car will be beautiful in Nero or Rossa!

I never thought of getting a Ferrari in Rossa except in the F40, but I may just consider it for my 458 which now must complement the 355. The 360/430 bubble look that I just couldn't get through is now solved!

    Great work. Well done!

But, obviously, Blu TdF is the only colour to have.........

:D - very cool Jim. I remember that morning - actually I was there before d1ablo. The looks of the nero/argento roof is a bit disappointing, not quite what I had in my head, I agree it doesn't quite fit the sporty character of the 458. Thanks very much for trying to match the Porsche Nachtblau. It is a very very difficult colour to catch but you did well. Still can't believe how good it looks in real life. I'll be admiring her again in a couple of days - she's had a new lick of paint to deal with some minor scratches and damage, and apparently looks absolutely breathtaking again. Not sure if you're going but next Saturday I'll be at Wings and Wheels with the 330GTC, so pop 'round if you're there.

Thanks Onno, good that she's back, let her roar through the neighbourhood :D

Wings and Wheels looks like a very interesting event (I'm a classic enthusiast), though the tickets are a bit above my student budget
Not sure if I could make it nonetheless.

Jim, can you please make a bicolor 458 with the bottom in Gigrio Silverstone and the top in a dark red (Rosso Fiorano)

Would someone be willing to photoshop a couple of 458 targas? Top off and windows down; one with nero/rosso fiorano, the other rosso corsa/tan. I guessing the odds of a factory targa are slim-to-none, but I'd love to see what could've been. Thanks.

    LOL!
    What's with the "flight test"?
Anyway 458 looks to have better "line of flight" handling! :D

Anybody have the skills to create some sort of rudimentary color configurator for the 458?

    That's a Spider :)
Targa is like the 355 GTS, middle roof can be removed for part-convertible experience (brilliant concept, don't get it why they ditched it completely..).

i usually don't like cars in white, and i don't know why this is, but the new f-car just looks great in this basic color.

In the past, I'd have agreed about white. It's been "plain" for years. But white has taken off as a color people are starting to love -- sales of white in virtually every category have taken off. Some in the design community think the iPod has been central to the cultural shift, which I'd probably agree with.

But yeah, virtually any color looks fantastic on the 458's design. In white, with black/charcoal wheels and almost any interior, it'll be sweet.

Well sadly I lost the original Photoshop files during a computer crash yesterday.

Shouldn't be too hard to make though, perhaps I'll try making it this week.

Great work. Even more fantastic if you would post 1920x1200 desktop backgrounders as. Would that be possible, preferably in Argento (light Silver, 3/4 from behind shot). Thanks in advance !

I thought it might be interesting to resurrect this great thread, which has some very interesting ideas esp as people are starting to spec. cars.
Some new ideas or a summary of the better ones might now be pertinent with the car being seen and clearer information available.
Hope this does not cause any problems.
    Thanks

I think the 458 looks best in Nero. :)

This is really sexy. Only, IMHO, the stripes should be pulled all the way down to the bumper :)

Great pics anyways, i just went thru the entire thread.

    Best regards,
