Ugh, I'll be on a roadtrip this weekend to visit inlaws, but may be able to catch this on radiolemans through my cell phone. The good news about it is that I get to drive about 1k miles, and I'll be going to the Ferrari Store in Vegas on Saturday. It's a good thing I love to drive. Are you going to this Carol? If so, any chance you can get me some good pics of any of the Audi R8LM's for a model I'm going to finish? Too bad they won't be running in the GT class for the race. I'll be cheering on #84 as usual!
I'll post this here because all the sportscar guys n gals will see it here. Marshall Pruet's new site - http://www.grandtouringprototype.com/ Really good site but be warned you can lose a lot of time there once you start watching old IMSA races and other time consuming pleasures.
Haha! Just spent an hour watching Ongias, Hobbs, John Paul Sr. and Jr. and Tullius running at Daytona in 1982. Easy to lose time... Found the site over Monterey weekend showing off in-car from Patrick Dempsey's RX-792SP (built in Charlotte) and Mark Hotchkis spanking the field in the "family" 962. Great stuff and thanks!
Yes, I am here at the Nurburgring Ring fir the weekend. Yes on the Audi's and I have several photos of them. There are about 8 of them.
Awesome! Thanks for the pics. Hope you enjoy the race. i might have to wait until Tues to watch it. Are you going to do a lap at the ring?

German national just played for ADAC Master GT race, u can visualize sitting here in stand it is F1 race and Michael just won!!Lots of cars driving the ring today, we can see themfor a short timefrom where we are sitting.here come the CER - imagine this 65 absolutely awesome classics in pre-race lap passes by. Antonio took second in GT2 qualifying ! Later carol
Great photos Hugo! As someone who tries to take pics I always get stuck on the colors and end up taking a lot of the cars I like, running up front or not. The American teams could learn a little about proper liveries and color schemes from the Euros.
The 007 is running with rocket power today! Antonio is in second behind Bruno who is driving a middle. Aston lapped in 10 minutes. If you didn't catch it Jamie is in hospital in Houston with food poisoning. Ferrari sent Toni Villander as his sub. Great driver did well in FIA GT with AF Corse.
Good to hear the Aston Martins doing so well in P1. Bad luck for Drayson. I'm very pleased to hear the Snoras Spyker doing fairly well too (into second place in GT2 as of this typing)! I tried the live video link with no luck. Any other links for live internet video for this race? Gary
Oh! bad luck young Mansell. Not his fault and compounded by the track workers. Frank Mailleux has threatened Team Modena's championship through his wombat impression.
Yes such a shame as Leo was running second with six laps on Bruni/Bell. Leo did a great job coming back to the box, as he pulled in the tire was ready to shed. Antonio got in and drove like a demon. Great job by theteam. On the A1 headed to Dusseldorf, lots of traffic. Kolles one Audi finished fourth, other one went out in kitty litter across from us.
some photo's of the race. sorry to see Ferrari only on place 3. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I felt really bad for Danny (last photo above) - big hit and went across the track and hit again, he was running fourth for awhile. The Audi went out in front of where we were sitting - good finish for the other Audi. Looks like the P2 got a time penalty for his episode with Leo. I've got loads of photos and will get them on here when I download the camera into the computer. Carol
