So I am biased... Took the old girl to Silverstone after the big service at Terry Key's... She's fantastic, keeping several pieces of German "heavy metal from Stuttgart" well at bay and holding her own against some much younger rides.

She got hot and bothered to the point the Oil temperature went to the "hey what are you doing here, don't you know it is hot!" point and the pressure dropped (oil has a temperature range, pass it, its viscosity and ability to lubricate drops, as does the pressure, hence seeing 50-60W's in top end racing engines). Though once cooled, she perked right back up...

I had McCrae in the car to comment on it, and he said "When I heard a Mondial I thought an old banger. Now that I have been in it, I have to say I am really impressed, it is better than the tuned 328's that are here regularly and handles impeccably"... coming from a world rally champion I was pleased, especially since I did my own tracking on it, the old school way, with strings, spirit levels and protractors....

She's my daily driver, 2 years in my ownership, 12 K mi done all over Europe and now at the track!

    Enjoy yours!

Looks like someone having fun using the car for its intended purpose. I use my Mondial 3.2 as an everyday car (in the US), & I really enjoy it.
    Nice pics!

i love seeing these cars being used the way they were intended.

i know the convertibles are more popular, but the hardtop mondials are my fav's

hope the one behind you didn't get upset :D

I cannot track mine, even though Infineon is only 5 miles away, as it would need a roll bar.

Will have to pick up something else for that.

    Hey Marco,

She didn't lean any more being driven solo, than when you had a passenger (well maybe just a bit) :). Mondials are so damn special. Looks like you had great fun:):)

    Cheers,

    Hank
