I took these off my car without asking anyone's permission. Will I get into trouble? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Number plates are the property of Vic Roads or the relevant statutory body depending on your state. This picture clearly represents that fact that you are keeping them for your own ends, depriving vic roads of any number plate possession enjoyment and hence breaking the law! Before this personal business becomes a matter of public interest that has nothing to do with anyone other than yourself I suggest you return the plates.
lol..ok...thanks for the advice. yeah i know...that's why i removed them, without permission, from my car! lol
www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm great site, very informative and concise, I even think it links with other sites like AE or whatever its called
I think you,ll find that you have the right to display on any of your cars if they,re personal plates.
Yeah , , what he said ! ......... I don't know if Victoria is the same as QLD , , , but up here once personalized plates are purchased they are your for life unless you choose to sell them ,, then there are forms to be filled in. When I got mine the paperwork with them made it pretty clear they I was responsible for them ....... Dad wrote off a Jag once and the towing & insurance company had no problem with him recoving the plates and putting the original radio back in the car (it had a $1k radio in it which was not covered by the insurance) ........... they did hang around and make sure that was all he removed.
in a way he paid for yours via all the tax he has paid over the years/sorry all the tax RP has paid over the years.
