    Regarding changing coolant, I have seen in some posts that you should mix the coolant and water in the proper proportions (assuming a 50/50 mix) before filling the system, instead of alternatly adding equal quantities of coolant and water to the system. Why would it make a difference? It seems that once the engine has run for a short time, the coolant and water would be well mixed.

    Buy the premix! Otherwise mix it first. The problem with alternating is that when the system gets full you may not get the exact 50-50 percentage you want.
