    no it isn't.

360 Modena and 360 Stradale I still think are the best looking V-8 Ferrari's since the 355.

I am allowed to change my mind once I see the car in the flesh, but so far I am not that excited.

Well it is RED GEE WIZ go figure LOL

I do like that they are attempting to use the Headlight design from the Lamborghini 560-4

But I still think the 355 spyder was the best "looking" F car to date IMO.

I haven't been that excited about a new Ferrari design in a while, but the styling cues present on the 458 certainly give it a more "Ferrari" look, particularly the nose sculpting... which IMO gives the car that "classic" Pininfarina look...and it ties the car in with other siblings in the stable. I like it!

Wonder how it'll change the "market depreciation schedule" of the 360's and 430's???

Okay someone post a black one so Roy won't trash on it. :p

I tend to enjoy how the "skin" on this car appears to be stretched tightly!

I like the direction the styling is going, except for the headlight treatment. It just seems to be "too much" if that makes any sense. Other than that, I'll wait to I actually get see one before I form to strong of an opinion.

Agreed. I do like the 458 Italia and to my eyes, it actually takes the curvaceous lines of the 360 Modena/Stradale to a newer dimension. IMHO, it resembles the 360 more than the 430 or 355!

The thing about the 360 and 430 that bummed me out was it lost the traditional smiling grill, the 360 was the first departure from this in the history of Ferrari.

With that said, I like that the Italia still has the functional intake on the left and right, but tries to tie it all together in the front with something of a 'smile'. It is very different from previous ones, but at least they are going back to that it seems...

I do also agree that it looks like the skin is wrapped tight and gives it a very stunning look.

Can't wait to see one in person!

Not a fan yet.. From the early pix/rinderings it looks like they mashed the front of a Masser Gran turismo onto the rear of an Enzo... BUT I have to reserve my opinion until I actually see one in real life.. Better styling than a 355 Spider??? No... yes I know I am biased....
But hey, they need to get back to actually using a desinger to style the car instead of the wind tunnels...

When I see it in person in Italy in a few weeks, I'll post my opinions. I like the photos, but I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

    YES.
I am happy that they are FINALLY getting away from the doofy cartoon smiling grill.
If I wanted a smiling car I would buy a Lotus Elise.
The car has CURVES that flow.

I don't like the silly row of LEDs going up the crest of the front fender. It's bling that belongs on a Supra.

Other than that it is first Ferrari that actually looks like a SPORTS CAR since the 355.

Painting it black would make the distinctive sculpting of the car disappear making it look like all the rest of the non-descript black cars out there.

A color OTHER THAN RED would be refreshing. !
