Congratulations with your great looking mondi!

I picked up my GT4 and it instantly started to snow. By the time she saw a dry road for the first time, it was three weeks down the line and we had taken a 2000 mile road trip to Italy and back. Sweaty palms, but what a fun trip that was!

    Enjoy!!!!

let me story you my first back home trip with my 3.2 cabriolet mondial, one year ago...
PV Dirk : mine is quite like yours, but red.
    SO the story.
i did buy mine through ebay to a man living on the french riviera, city of Hyeres ( very beautifull area).
When i picked up the car, the man was very emotional, quite crying, because he loved her so much. I mentionned him i will take good care of her.
Then, I start the cruise back home. I did program my garmin gps, avoiding highway, cause i wanted to have a nice drive through average roads in that beautifull country, but .... i was not very usefull with the gps setting, so, it pulls me into little, then more little, then microscopic roads, through a very beautifull mountain there called "maure". after some miles i became very stressed because : 1/roads became so small that it would be very difficult to cross another vehicule coming in front to me. 2/the fuel gauge went down and down and i did not see the issue of this mountain lost trip.
after 5 hours of this trip (2 hours in the mountain) i finally arrived at home, completly empty and tired. But very stressed again because i had to enter it in my garage. i live in a very small village, and i had to make a short U turn before access my garage. I parked the car temporary in the street, and when i moved it from this place.... my god !! i hurted it when moving a little reverse, on a street barrier !!!!
Anyway the first trip was fantastic. the mondial is very agile in little roads.
that was my first trip story..
congratulations for your black cabriolet. as beautifull as mine... almost

Congrats to you! I too just entered the Ferrari owners club a month ago, also with an 87 Mondial QV 3.2 cabriolet in black with tan leather. 24K miles. Loved my first drive home equally as much, although didn't have the first whack experience you did. Glad she's built tough. And can she sing! Love that engine! The whirl and burbles are fantastic, aren't they. The only mod that I have already done is Sirius/XM as I cannot handle the Alpine stereo and cassette, which gives me little listening options other than that engine, which on the highway in 5th really limits the ability to enjoy the radio anyway. Enjoy that great little car. I love it so so much!

Congratulations back to you as well. They are great looking cars and wonderful to drive. I just spent several hours yesterday and then again today doing the leatherique treatment. Except for wear areas, the interior really cleaned up. Hopefully you get a long late summer up there to enjoy it as long as you can. I'm waiting for winter to get here so I can do more driving with our summer heat and humidity making it a bit rough.

Same here. The car looks great. I think black is one of the better colors for the Mondials.
Drive her as often as you can, as they do run better the more you drive them. I average about 5,000 miles a year on my 328, and she runs great, the best fun on 4 wheels. Enjoy the ride.
