    Brendan,

If the weather is good, we'll be leaving from my house at 7:45. We won't be meeting at the bank. We're going to take the back roads (80 to 81 to 154, etc.). We hate freeways. :D

Okay. I have been there but I can't remember where in Westbrook it is. Could I meet you there?

If it's okay, let me know via PM where I can meet up with you. I'll be up nice and early. Thanks Craig.

Me too. The TR is home and already filthy from the hour ride home in the monsoon yesterday.

Craig, talked to Ryan and I got the address.

See you at 7:30, and I'll see the rest of you at Starbucks! I'll be on the black R6 =].

Amazing as always...9 Ferrari, 1 Subie, 1 Alfa, 1 Camero, 1 BMW. Perhaps if we are ALL good the wweather gods will shine on us soon. I'll leave the definition of "good" to each of you.

Jay, I'm not quite sure you have experienced that either my friend. The F1 355 in 1999 boasted a shift time in "sport" mode of 1/4 sec or 250 ms. Granted that is half of what us "pros" need to do so. Modern F1 racers shift at around 50ms :)

I guess the quick shifts rattled some neurons! 60ms is for the 430 Scuderia and others, 355 in sport mode is 150 ms - same as the Formula 1 car at that time :D

I am curious now...I'll dig out the Gtech accelerometer and check it out. I measured about 600 ms shift time in my Sti and I felt like I was banging through the gears hard.

So...If I have this right. The 355 removes power for 150ms performing its function shifting gears....hmmm...even standard GM automatics provide semi constant torque. How is it that the Ferrari automatic is so slow.

Ouch!, Not getting invited to Jay's X-Mas dinner with that attitude Lane. 150ms is plenty.......adequate ;) JK Jay!

OK...this is going to get ugly fast. I withdraw my observation and offer to grate the cheese. Need someone to bring the crackers. Never mind the wine. We have plenty of whiners...uh...wino's...uh...you know what I mean...never mind

Thus far the weather outlook is good for the weekend, unless it just changed and I missed it.

Is the Southcentral CT Tour and Garage Monkey Gathering going to be Saturday?

A recent government study revealed that many 355 F1 drivers have experienced carpal tunnel damage to their thumbs and middle fingers. This will not be covered under Obamacare. Tennis elbow, caused by shifting like real men, will be covered.:D

Yes it is. Let's take a roll call. Who will still be able to make it?

Here are the directions again for Saturday:

    Date: Saturday, September 5th
    Gathering time: Between 10-10:30am
    Gathering place has been selected:

We will all gather at the Denny's parking lot in Westbrook. It is located at Exit 65 (Essex Rd or Rte 153) on I-95 and is on the south side of the I-95, east side of 153/Essex Rd.. It is easy to get to and easy to find. It has a large parking lot and no one ever parks in the lot behind the building, so there should be plenty of room.

The address is: 28 Flat Rock Place, Westbrook, CT

AAAHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHA (In case you could not tell, I was on the floor laughing). Then again, who is laughing last when it takes me 3 seconds to shift into second gear on a cold tranny and the F1 cars are already in top gear. :)

I am not sure if I can make Saturday yet. I have a dentist appointment in the AM (8:15AM so nice and early), but looks like the parents and brother might make an unexpected appearance for the weekend. I will let you know for sure as the weekend approaches.

Has anyone considered stopping at F40 this Saturday. They are having cars and coffee from 7am to 9am. You can caravan from there to Westport. Unfortunately I don't think I can make it to Westport but I might be at F40.

Man, I can't make it to the man cave event. I would have loved to have seen Craig's setup!!! I'm heading to Limerock on Sat. but maybe I could meet up at F40 before heading there. Just depends what my 8-month prego wife wants to do :)

Maybe we could do a cruise to my house one weekend if we get another nice one in before the end of the year. I live in Columbia .. which maybe a bit too far for you all, but sounds like fun. Since I'm missing Craig's event, maybe I could make up for it by having my own. I finished my garage last year.
