Can someone tell me the tightening torque for the bolts that attach the ring gear to the differential?

I have a manual but I can't seem to locate the info - I probably overlooked it.

It should be the same as the 275 and Daytona.

    Hi Bob,

Do you have the shop manual? On page 84: Assembly of the differential... the second item states: Between the half-case and the cover, carefully install the ring gear and tighten the hexagonal bolts to 4 Kg. torgue, then secure them with annealed steel safety wire.

The Daytona workshop manual states 7.5 KGg.

It appears that the 275 workshop manual calls for 4 Kg. but it is stated in a different manner. Assembling the differential: 1- Mount on the keyholder cover, disposed in horizontal position, the ring gear provided with the two dowel pins. 2-Mount in the cover the inner drum with cam. 3-Slip keys in the key slots. 4-Introduce the outer drum with cam. 5-Mount the semi-differential case and tighten screws to 4 Kgm. torque. Secure with annealed wire.

    Good luck,
    Terry Phillips

I would not be surprised if Daytona and 330 have different ring gear bolts.

They are drilled for safety wire but on ALL Ferrari ring gears I Locktite them.

I have dealt with 3 different style bolts. The last GTC I did had a short head bolt with a flange and no holes and accepted the 7.5KG nicely. When in doubt follow an Engineers handbook referancing size and pitch as a cross check.
